POSITION SUMMARY - This position is based in Arlington, VA

Conservation International is the Global Executing Agency of an exciting initiative focused on strengthening the capacity of Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IP&LCs) to participate in the Forest Investment Program (FIP) and other REDD+ processes at local, national, and global levels. In CI's role coordinating between the country projects, the Dedicated Grant Mechanism (DGM) for Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities Global project promotes shared learning, networking, communications, and results monitoring and reporting for the entire DGM. This position works closely with country projects, IP&LC organizations, the World Bank, the Climate Investment Funds, and relevant external partners.

The DGM Global Planning, Monitoring and Reporting Senior Manager will manage the monitoring, reporting, and programmatic activities of the DGM Global Project. This position is responsible for providing technical and programmatic management to the DGM Global Project, supporting all aspects of the project life cycle, including project planning, work plans, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting on deliverables and project status, ensuring compliance with project standards, donor requirements and project alignment with institutional priorities. In addition, this position will advise on adaptive management strategies and capacity building needs to ensure project success, collaborate with DGM National Executing Agencies (NEA) from 4 DGM country projects, maintain and improve a coordinated approach of compiling and reporting progress and results of the DGM program, prepare annual and semiannual reports on the progress and results indicators of the DGM Global project and of the 4 DGM Country projects, represent DGM GEA in external partnerships on monitoring and reporting activities, and manage an

individual and project budget in coordination with and subject to approval by the immediate supervisor.

Support with the coordination of strategic meetings with members of the GSC and the sustainability consultant and donors of initiatives led by Indigenous peoples.

The position will be part of the larger Community-led Solutions Partnership Division, which focuses on supporting direct access financing for IPs and LC. This position will engage in supporting division-level activities, proposals, and new program development as needed.

This position will require knowledge of public donor rules and regulations. The candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels, both internal and external to CI. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Programmatic management of the DGM Global Executing Agency.

  • Manage the Monitoring and Results Framework for the DGM.

  • Manage the DGM Global Reporting Component.

  • Community-led solutions partnership technical support, fundraising, and business development.

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Occasional International travel may be required up to 10-15% annually.

  • International travel may include remote locations without modern conveniences.

  • The position may require lifting up to 50 pounds.

  • This position follows a hybrid work structure, working some days from the office and some remotely. Guidance will be shared during the interview process.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in monitoring and evaluation, environmental studies, or related field.

  • 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience.

  • Familiarity with and a strong interest in the socio-economic issues related to climate change, forests, indigenous peoples, and local communities.

  • Proficiency with methods required for analysis, reporting, and interpreting project results, including data visualization software and statistics.

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under multiple deadlines and tasks.

  • Advanced English writing, editing, and reading comprehension skills.

  • Experience working with a multicultural, international audience.

Preferred

  • Graduate degree and/or specialized training/certification in monitoring and evaluation.

  • 3+ years' experience with developing and implementing monitoring, reporting, and for multi-national, public-funded projects.

  • Written and spoken fluency in Spanish, French, or Portuguese. French is highly desirable.
