Devsecops Engineer / Domain Controller SME - Secret Clearance

Our Client is actively seeking a DevSecOps Engineer / Domain Controller SME to support a National Missile Defense Program based out of Colorado Springs and Huntsville, AL. Job Description: The selected candidate will support the DevSecOps team to develop and deploy Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service capability. The candidate will assist in the system administration of multiple environments, software deployment, troubleshooting, and automation in a DevSecOps environment for a critical customer program. We are working with the leading DevOps practices and tooling (Hashicorp Tools, Gitlab CI/CD, Ansible Tower and Nexus Pro).

• Work on systems administration related issues with hardware and software for different network environments.

• Support deployment of custom software solutions integrating COTS, GOTS, and developed software.

• Propose system administration process improvement to reduce overall maintenance requirements by working with the design team and manufacturers.

• Determines systems requirements, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of system configuration.

• Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies.

• Develops and recommends corrective actions.

• May provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers. Technical Skills Required: - Knowledge of virtualization technologies, especially VMWare, to include infrastructure and automation of those environments.

• Skills in logical/physical architecture modeling, and knowledge of CI/CD pipeline architecture, RAM, Mission Assurance, Safety, and cyber security concepts. Desired:

• Skills in logical/physical architecture modeling, and knowledge of CI/CD pipeline architecture, RAM, Mission Assurance, Safety, and cyber security concepts are highly desirable.

• Effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools.

• Able to work independently / solo at times on large projects, at other times will be in a collaborative team environment with other DevSecOps engineers, as well as other program development and deployment teams. Experience required:

• 3-5 years’ experience in Cloud technology and concepts.

• 3-5 years’ experience with continuous integration environments in Network, Software, or platform infrastructure capability automation, development, and deployment.

• Experience with Linux/UNIX or Windows system administration.

• Experience with a shell scripting language (e.g., Python, Powershell, etc.). Desired:

• Experience with automation/configuration management using Ansible, GitLab, Nexus or other equivalent technology

• Experience with developing formal builds within the DoD industry. Education Requirements: Emerging authority typically with an advanced degree and 7 years’ experience or bachelors with 9 years’ experience or equivalent. Appropriate IAM Level III DoDI 8570 certification required. Internal candidates with IAT Level II cert and the ability to obtain IAM Level III cert within the 8570 prescribed guidelines will be considered as well.
