Wells Fargo Technology sets IT strategy; enhances the design, development, and operations of our systems; optimizes the Wells Fargo infrastructure footprint; provides information security; and enables continuous banking access through in-store, online, ATM, and other channels to Wells Fargo's more than 70 million global customers.

This position is in the DCE (Development and Cloud Enablement) Organization, centering on the Enterprise Pipeline and its Operational Support, across all applications in the Wells Fargo Enterprise. In this position, as an Application Systems Engineer 6, you will act as a lead in enterprise pipeline, including the onboarding, support, and analysis for all applications utilizing CICD and specifically using the Enterprise Pipeline (EPL). In addition, this position will be responsible for the ongoing operational support for all applications when they require updates, troubleshooting, and configuration. Also, this individual will ensure that all Wells Fargo applications on the enterprise pipeline are standardized, stable, and efficient in an effort to simplify and reduce the needed levels of support. Finally, this individual will produce documentation and perform training of both junior staff as well as our application development team clients, so to increase knowledge/education and promote self-diagnosis and self-service potential.

This position requires:

  • Senior level knowledge of the Enterprise Jenkins Pipeline
  • A superior ability to diagnose and resolve issues
  • A high level of client interaction ability (communication, support, advice, training, etc.)
  • Ability to educate junior staff and application development clients

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Understand the customer build, release and deploy automation needs and provide services that aligns with Enterprise DevOps standards and Wells Fargo vision and values.

  • Providing consultation to app team on Enterprise pipeline and benefits where ever applicable.

  • Analyze applications on-boarding/support requests and provide solution.

  • Developing the POCs to demonstrate the viability of new ideas and technologies to support the innovation.

  • Guide and outline ideas for migration of the application into cloud platform.

  • Develop and Provide build, release and deploy solution for legacy applications with customized pipeline instead of free style jobs.

  • Analyzing highly complex application build, release and deployment requirements and Write technical specifications to design or redesign build, release and deploy automation for the same.

  • Leading projects, allocating and managing the team's resources and the work of less experienced staff.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of application development and implementation experience
  • 5+ years of DevOps experience
  • 3 + years of experience with server administration and job creation using Jenkins Continuous Integration server

Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to manage source code repositories

Other Desired Qualifications

  • 4+ years of uDeploy experience

  • 4+ years of Artifactory experience

  • 1+ years of experience with TFS

  • 4+ years of source code experience (GitHub, SVN, TFVC, TFSGit)

  • 2+ years of straight development experience

  • Experience with alternate build/deploy tools

  • Anthill
  • Experience with code scanning tools
  • Sonar, Fortify, CheckMarx, Blackduck
  • High level communication skills

  • High focus on client service
