Our focus is always on outcomes and results that connect citizens more effectively with government services.We are seeking a DevOps Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team supporting our Internal Revenue Service (IRS) client located in Lanham, MD.The DevOps Cybersecurity Analyst will interact directly with the customer for wide range of cyber security products. This position works closely with many functions within the IRS to develop new processes, build out, and maintain new test environments.

The DevOps Cybersecurity Analyst will be responsible for reviewing and/or analyzing ongoing configuration, operations, and audits live cyber security exploit testing environment. The Cybersecurity Analyst will need to be able to function within a collaborative work environment.Location of work is 3 days at the IRS facility in New Carrollton, MD, with 2 days' work from home. The selected candidate must be flexible and available to attend meetings or perform other activities at the IRS facility more frequently as required.

Support the setup and maintenance of cyber security products in various environments Communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences Engage with and support enterprise clients to ensure the use cases and testing represent the challenges faced in product deployment Support the build out test environments, install systems and products Review test harness and Software Requirements Specification (SRS) documents Uphold enterprise security goals as established by the organization's stated policies, procedures and guidelines. Attend calls and participate in meetingsQUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required, an additional four (4) years of related work experience can substitute for a degree At least eight (8) years of experience At least three (3) years of hands-on experience with security technology, whether network, endpoint, or operational forensics IRS experience supporting Cybersecurity projects Strong understanding of virtualization technology Expert troubleshooting skills in MS Windows and Unix/Linux environments Expert TCP/IP networking, networking architectures, and troubleshooting skills, including IPv6 Packet analysis and network protocol dissection skills, using tools such as Wireshark/Ethereal Good knowledge of network device performance testing Good knowledge of network security device design Hands-on experience configuring server hardware and deployment of MS Windows and Linux operating systems MS Windows and Linux network administration experience Awareness of SDLC and quality assurance and how these relate to product testing Excellent verbal and written communication skills Professional presentation and communication skills

Preferred experience includes: Software development background Scripting experience in Powershell, Python, Java, VBScript, Perl, Ruby, etc. Experience with network and security performance testing equipment, both hardware and software (e.g., BreakingPoint and other Ixia products, Spirent/Mu Dynamics, Tomahawk, etc.) Understanding of Agile or DevOps implementation Experience implementing security testing in an Agile or DevOps environment Experience implementing security testing in VM and Cloud environments Experience implementing security testing in a containerized environment

Physical Requirements:
Work is performed in a general office environment

Additional Requirements as per contract/client: Ability to obtain and maintain an IRS Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance (active IRS Moderate Risk MBI is a plus) United States Citizenship or Legal Permanent Residency (Green Card status) for at least three (3) years, and Federal Tax compliant
