This role is vital to the successful implementation and management of our cloud initiatives in support of development and testing engineering functions across diverse product platforms. You will leverage your systems implementation and administration experience to envision, enable, accelerate, automate, and measure various cloud deployments. You will play a key role in creating dynamic, secure, high performance, and highly available cloud environments that will provide scale and flexibility to various engineering organizations. Your enterprise Linux/Windows systems management expertise, attention to detail, ability to solve problems, excellent communication skills and willingness to adapt to new challenges in a fast-paced environment are core traits for success in this role.
Requires broad technical knowledge and experience across a variety of IT areas, including infrastructure, development, operations, and quality assurance.
Experience in systems automation, virtualization, orchestration, continuous integration, deployment, and implementation.
Balance supporting local Online Commerce departments as well as centralized Corporate DevOps
Experience working in managing Project with strong understanding of tools and automation frameworks
Experience in leading a team of advanced engineers to technical management, release engineering, tools engineering and DevSecOps.
Experience installing and configuring on infrastructure, scripting for process automation, setting up and managing cloud and container orchestration and experience managing support systems.
Ability to balance the value of process vs deliverables
Ability to recommend alternative solutions in a practical manner
Experience in delegating while maintaining accountability
Extensive experience to reassess and adjust tactical and/or operational direction
Great communication skills coupled with a strong desire for personal development and learning
Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated technical leadership
Experience in establishing effective partnerships across teams and influence senior management, peers and subordinates in an inclusive style to leverage their abilities and knowledge.
Ability to Align with Leadership Guidance and Provide recommendation on team sizes, engagement, measurements to maximize collaboration, eliminating handoffs and high paced agile delivery environment
8+ years of relevant enterprise systems implementation and software engineering work experience.
3+ years coaching and mentoring team members in a management role.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline required.
Technical Skills required
Specific experience in cloud platform deployment and architecture preferred, AWS experience a MUST HAVE.
AWS Certifications another Big Plus.
Previous experience or significant aptitude with server template creation (CloudFormation, Terraform etc.)
SaltStack, Chef, Ansible, Puppet or another Configuration Management Tool experience.
Orchestration experience (Jenkins, Automate, XebiaLabs, etc.) a Big Plus.
Technical knowledge of network protocols, security audit considerations to influence the architecture of a flexible yet secure cloud framework
Strong evidence of scripting to automate routine tasks.
Prior experience in hands-on troubleshooting of complex systems problems, capacity planning and performance tuning
Prior exposure to an agile development methodology preferred.
