The DevOps Manager is part of the Technology Department and is an DevOps thought leader, experienced in strategy, planning, governance, and management. The successful candidate will be an integrator of people and processes, a problem solver, an effective consultant, and have strong knowledge of modern cloud infrastructure, information security, product deliver, and customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, creating, and executing 365's DevOps strategy, and managing a team of technology professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop cohesive DevOps strategy across software platforms, technology stacks, and cloud providers.

  • Evaluate and standardize tool across all public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Maintain, monitor, log, secure, audit, backup, and scale infrastructure to ensure business continuity.

  • Monitor 365 endpoint and server logs for predictive system failures and suspicious activity.

  • Maintain 100% uptime for critical business systems.

  • Clutch with development, IT, and database teams to ensure 365 products have backups in place for all servers and datacenters.

  • Work with DevOps teams to identify single points of failure and establish remediation plans.

  • Work with development teams to ensure 365 products meet customer SLA agreements for service outages.

  • Design disaster recovery infrastructure that can be regularly validated and tested.

  • Oversee CI/CD pipelines for our cloud, mobile, and endpoint services

  • Verify logging, alerting, and monitoring is functioning for all critical systems.

  • Daily review of important logs/alerts for issues.

  • Translate business or infrastructure needs into task-based projects. Assign to team members and track through completion.

  • Develop and maintain after hours DevOps on call schedule.

  • Facilitate team meetings - projects, metrics, SLAs, customer satisfaction ratings, escalations, upcoming maintenance, ETC.

  • Diligently track key performance metrics and communicate to senior leadership in dashboards and reports.

  • Maintain and establish relationships with DevOps vendors.

  • Proficient in DevOps troubleshooting.

  • Quarterback the resolution of escalated DevOps issues.

  • Communicate with team members to understand or explain issues and their appropriate resolutions.

  • Ensure DevOps SLAs are being met and managed properly.

  • Act as the main point of contact for issues that fall outside normal DevOps activities (emergencies, special requests, company acquisitions, off hour issues).

  • Participate in security and compliance audits like PCI DSS, SOC2, and NIST CSF.

  • Ensure 365 servers and endpoint infrastructure is patched and monitored for security vulnerabilities.

  • Coordinate and track ASV scan and penetration test remediations efforts to completion.

  • Integrate security and compliance strategy into new product development.

  • Work closely with software development and DevOps team to ensure 365's infrastructure is secure, scalable, monitored, and maintained.

  • Procure adequate resources to achieve departmental objectives in planned timeframes.

  • Stay abreast of changes to the DevOps landscape; proactively discuss and provide recommendations to 365 Technology Leadership to facilitate necessary internal changes.

  • Develop, document, and maintain necessary DevOps knowledge base.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience

  • 3+ years of AWS Cloud computing experience.

  • 2+ years of Azure Cloud computing experience.

  • 2+ years of GCP Cloud computing experience.

  • 3+ years of management experience.

  • 2+ years CI/CD experience.

  • 1+ year of cyber security experience.

  • Experience in troubleshooting Linux and Windows.

  • Knowledge of PKI, certificates, and domain management in a mixed environment.

  • Proficiency in Excel, specifically compiling, analyzing, and presenting performance metrics.

  • Tools: Jira, Confluence, Zendesk, SharePoint, Visio, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Familiarity with roadmaps and portfolios.

  • Strong leadership, diplomatic, communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.

  • Experience working both independently and in a team.

  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.

  • Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs.

  • Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas to achieve a common business objective.
