Title:
Dev-Ops Environmental Manager
Location: Chicago, IL
Duration: Full Time.

Responsibilities:
Partner with cross impacting Team/LOB and progress the implementation of the solution.
Environment build and set up standard operating environment
Ensure IT infrastructure readiness has availability/connectivity with other interface platforms
Validate and test the configurable ITEM within the Env including the corss impacted and baseline configuration
Operations level oversight and sustain and control the environment to meet the testing Env
Coordinate and guide scrum teams to define docs and base line the configurable items

Required Skill:
UNIX/LINUX, WINDOWS, ORACLE, JAVA
TOMCAT, NDM, SFTP, NFS, SSH/SSL, cron etc
Unix scripting
Familiarity with Build tools like Maven/Jenkins and scheduling tools like Control-M

VIEW JOBS 11/14/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-12T00:00 Sr. Dev Ops Analyst - INF001222 The Operational Intelligence (OI) teams ensure all daily business operational objectives are meet and all of the related generated business data is both accurate and delivered to the intended third party vendors and our customers within the business defined times, i.e. SLA's, from our industry leading business critical 24x7 BSS/OSS platform. The OI teams are involved in all phases of software lifecycle to ensure there are no interruptions to the business operations. The OI teams monitor business operations to detect and identify issues and then works with the vendors, business, infrastructure teams, customers, etc. to quickly resolve and to prevent future occurrences. As a member of the Billing and Revenue Dev Ops team, the Sr. Dev Ops Analyst provides technical guidance for the monitoring and governance of billing and revenue platforms to ensure USCC business objectives are met. All production changes including technical initiatives are completed without adding operational risk. In addition, technical initiatives are completed in a timely manner to meet key performance targets towards billing and revenue SLAs, KPIs, timeliness and accuracy. Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities * Monitors the Business/Operational Support System (BSS/OSS) platform and other systems to ensure that the daily business operational objects are met and that the generated data is delivered as expected. * Leads initiatives that reduce operational risk and on-going support. * Analyzes development documentation and test results of new projects, enhancements and fixes to the BSS/OSS platform and other systems for quality assurance and to ensure they are accurate and do not increase operational support. * Collaborates across organizational boundaries by serving as a liaison between business partners, IS Teams and vendors while providing solutions that meet customer needs. * Leads the production support analysis and issue resolution process for complex issues. * Initiates and executes the automation of monitoring scripts and tools. * Analyzes data and provides complex reports requested by management. * Leads daily and monthly revenue support activities to ensure system stability, accounting accuracy and SLAs/KPIs are met. * Fosters an environment of learning by mentoring and coaching team members to increase their skills and effectiveness. Experience and Educational Requirements * Bachelor degree in relevant studies, specialized training or equivalent work experience. * Minimum 7 years of technology work experience in applications, systems or IT operations. * Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills. * Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex problems or processes, identify and understand requirements and develop alternate solutions. * Office Automation: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook * Software/Tools: Java, C, C++, PL-SQL, SQL Plus, Shell scripting, PERL * Other Preferred Skills: Amdocs Billing Systems, XML, web services, SOAP, WSDL, JSON, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), ESB, Metadata Tools, Cognos, UML, Rochade, Agile methodologies Further Information regarding this role: Ideal Candidate * This role is not a development role! There will be very little if any new development in this role. This is a role that provides governance over development that is performed by 3rd Party Vendors of U.S. Cellular. * The ideal candidate is going to need to be able to read development code to understand the function of the code and will need to understand development concepts and processes pertaining more to Back Office environments rather than Web development environments. This candidate likely will have had some previous development experience in the past in order to best provide the Dev Ops governance functions of this role. * Experience with SQL and Shell scripting are critical for this role. Experience with some Java is helpful as well as being able to read C would be considered the ideal technical skill-set for this role. * Experience with BSS/OSS systems as well as previous telecom billing system experience would be preferred. * Organization and strong attention to detail would be considered the primary non-technical skills for this role.
