The Opportunity:

As a DevOps engineer, you're eager to develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets your client's needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. We need you to develop container management software to solve some of our clients' toughest challenges.

As a Senior Platform DevOps Engineer at Booz Allen, you can use your technical skills to affect mission-forward change. On our team, you'll hone your skills using the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client's environment with container software to ensure seamless orchestration. Using your DevOps platform experience, you'll support your team as you inform strategy and design while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process.

You'll recommend resources that will help your client manage and securely adopt containers. Additionally, you'll continue to strengthen your DevOps skills while supporting the development of critical cloud platforms.

You Have:

• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, or Software Engineer in development of tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments

• 5+ years of experience troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving issues for CI/CD pipeline failures or slowness

• 3+ years of experience with containerization, including Docker, Podman Buildah, AWS EKS, ECR, ECS, Fargate, Kubernetes, or OpenShift

• 2+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer

• Experience with programming languages, monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Open Telemetry, or AppDynamics, Terraform, AWS, and CI tools such as Jenkins, Tekton, CircleCI, GitlabCI, AWS CodePipeline, or GitHub Actions

• Experience building and maintaining production systems using infrastructure as code solutions

• Knowledge of Site Reliability concepts, methodologies, practices, network administration, and networking protocols or functions such as HTTP, HTTPS, TCP, UDP, SSL/TLS, SMTP, or DNS

• Ability to work across multiple operating systems and technology stacks in an agile environment

• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

• Bachelor's degree or 8+ years of experience in DevOps in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience resolving or assisting with the resolution of production issues in established ITSM constructs, including Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Operational Level of Agreement (OLA)
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer Associate or Professional, or similar Cloud Certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
