Honeywell is seeking a full-time DevOps software engineer for our Pittsburgh office, a key location where we are developing and integrating various technologies, including Voice/Speech Recognition.

Passionate with technology, the DevOps Engineer is highly collaborative, service-oriented and self-motivated in building/supporting tools & infrastructure for product development teams in all software lifecycle phases. Expectation is to enable product teams to achieve faster development, faster time to deploy, and faster testing cycle without compromising quality.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related discipline

  • Experience with Linux (RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu)

  • Experience with TCP/IP networks, common network protocols and troubleshooting network services

  • Experience with deploying, testing, and troubleshooting applications developed in one or more of the following languages: Java, JavaScript, C/C++, Python or Go

  • Experience writing scripts in one or more languages such as Python, Go, Bash, Perl, Ruby or JavaScript

  • Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef or SaltStack

  • Strong communication skills

WE VALUE

  • Masters degree in related discipline

  • Certification or recognition from AWS, CNCF, Docker, Red Hat, Puppet or Google Developers Experts

  • Experience working in an Agile Software Development Lifecycle

  • Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) Tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, GitLab or Artifactory

  • Experience with building and deploying Docker containers

  • Experience with managing cloud resources in AWS, GCP or Azure

  • Experience with managing virtualization resources in VMware, OpenStack or KVM

  • Experience with monitoring and metrics tools/stacks such as TICK, Nagios, Prometheus, Graphite, Grafana or Heapster

  • Experience with Android and/or Microsoft Windows in a Continuous Integration setting

  • Experience deploying and maintaining systems complying to corporate security policies
