Devops Engineer

Core Responsibilities

• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders to discover automation opportunities and create specification.

• Ability to peer review code and act as subject matter expert on coding best practices.

• Configure existing applications to implement automation solutions.

• Work with CI/CD Pipeline for continuous improvement and development of our automated processes.

• Develop custom, production-quality scripts using PowerShell, JavaScript, or other ''scripting'' languages while adhering to our coding standards.

• Ability to manage code using Git.

• Work with REST APIs, JSON, XML and other APIs and file formats to exchange data between tools and enact automation jobs.

• Basic Windows server administration such as Task Scheduler updates and setting permissions.

• Ensure that safety guidelines are followed, and the environment is protected in accordance with company policy and government regulations.

Required Education/Experience

• Master's Degree Preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering and with a minimum of (2) years of relevant work experience; or

• Bachelor's Degree Preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering and with a minimum of (3) years of relevant work experience; or

• Associate's Degree Preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering and with a minimum of (5) years of relevant work experience; or

• High School Diploma/GED and with a minimum of (7) years of relevant work experience;

Relevant Work Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of progressively increasing experience in software development using PowerShell, or Perl/Python/JavaScript.

• Experience in collaborating with a technical audience to develop specifications.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, CSV and other common data formats and APIs.
