Job Overview

The Application Tooling Division of TE Connectivity is currently seeking an Test Technician to join our team. Application Tooling is a worldwide engineering and manufacturing business unit that designs and manufactures application equipment, associated tooling and precision machined products for all markets.

Our Operations Associates support our tooling business by both assembling and repairing our various machine and Hand Tool product lines. This position is located at our 2901 Fulling Mill Rd Middletown, PA facility.

TE Connectivity's Technical Engineering Support Teams analyze, test and assist in research for the development of products and processes. Team members may specialize in quality control or assurance, metals, electrical connectors and components, process development, materials, and/or instrumentation.

They may also handle calibration, displays, network control, and audiovisual work or environmental health and safety. The Technical Engineering Support Teams are responsible for the completion of assigned engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines. They plan, prioritize, and manage multiple engineering projects; prioritize tasks to ensure that the team's overall resources are used effectively and that project deadlines are met.

They evaluate and authorize changes that significantly impact the scope, budget, or timeline of a project. They create, develop, plan, write and edit operational, instructional, maintenance or test procedures for paper, multimedia or web-based publication, for non-technical and technical users.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Responsible for Assembling, upgrading, servicing and repairing basic and complex machines. Monitors operational quality of systems and equipment.

  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions and implements repairs to eliminate problem.

  • Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications. May act as local on-site representative to customer's organization.

  • Measures, examines, and tests completed units to detect defects, implements repairs and ensures conformance to specifications.

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • At least 3-5 years experience in related field (machine assembly, machine operator, etc.)

  • Basic Computer skills to include Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

  • Must have the ability to disassemble and re-assemble various types of mechanical parts and basic understanding of trouble shooting techniques. Should have basic understanding of blueprints.

  • Requires a mechanical skill sufficient to visualize and assemble equipment utilizing sectional blueprints and be able to condition parts and working mechanism to permit the equipment to produce a product to engineering specification.

  • Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of machine building; including mechanical assembly, wiring, electronic assembly and programming.

Job Overview The AD&M Strategy and Business Development team helps shape the portfolio and competitive strategy, by being an advisor to the GM and the leadership team. The AD&M Strategy & Business Development Manager is a key member of the team and their key responsibilities include: * Support the design and deployment of growth strategies and internal processes to drive consistent execution of growth and margin expansion initiatives * Identify opportunities to improve business performance, including cost optimization and product portfolio modification * Create cost models for businesses and product lines to assess profitability * Conduct research and analysis for potential acquisitions, equity investments, joint-ventures, alliances, licensing relationships or divestiture opportunities * Facilitate development of annual strategic plans for the business Responsibilities & Qualifications * Identify, track, and communicate key trends across segments, technologies and competitors that affect AD&M businesses in the short, medium and long-term * Identify and analyze growth opportunities: * Assess size, growth, and profitability of key markets * Rate opportunities on multiple dimensions (e.g., size, profitability, headroom for growth, fit with current business) * Identify organic and inorganic growth opportunities * Contribute to due diligence of potential partners (e.g., conduct revenue/cost synergy analysis) * Manage strategy projects and lead cross-functional teams, including creating timelines and tracking progress * Help the leadership team prepare for key events (e.g., strategy week, quarterly growth reviews) * Manage external vendors providing research assistance * Bring best practices from outside into TE Ideal candidate profile Success in the role requires strong business acumen and strategic mindset, exceptional communication and presentation skills, ability to work seamlessly with leaders at multiple levels, and the skills and tenacity to achieve results without formal authority.
