What you'll do (assignments may include responsibilities in one or more of the following areas):

  • Create systems design utilizing client requirements

  • Applications development and computer programming

  • Database maintenance and configuration management

  • Software installs, technical testing and reporting

What you'll need:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited university/college pursuing bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e.: Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a similar major with extensive computer-based or technical content)

  • A great attitude and desire for learning

  • Excellent problem solving, written and oral communication skills

  • Flexibility and ability to deal with ambiguity

  • Ability to work within a team environment

  • Ability to work in the U.S. for an indefinite period of time

Job Summary: In this role, you will be instrumental in building best-in-class manufacturing operational practices in support of producing the next generation of water infrastructure products that deliver clean and safe drinking water to communities across North America. Our manufacturing technologies spans across the value chain from casting, machining, and assembly to manufacture current state of the art and next-generation IoT products to monitor, alert, and inform operators of real-time conditions within their clean water distribution network. Focused in Mueller foundry engineering and operations, the ideal candidate will leverage their strong technical knowledge to develop and deploy solutions for optimized productivity, asset utilization, and cost reduction. This position is an integral part of Mueller's long term growth strategy in growing and accelerating technical capabilities in its foundry operations. This role will provide a broad range of experiences in various facets to accelerate development of foundry knowledge areas and operations. The Foundry Development Engineering Program will offer experience across the spectrum of foundry knowledge areas including Metallurgy, Simulation, Lost Foam, Green Sand DISA, Tool Design, Equipment, Design, Layout, Quality, and Operations Support. Rotations will involve leading and managing mission critical projects in one or more of our foundries to deliver process, performance, cost, and efficiency improvements. Primary Responsibilities: * Develop strong working knowledge of foundry technical operations * Manage key projects in support of improved foundry throughput, cost efficiency, and technology upgrades * Support daily operations with problem definition, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation * Performs other related duties related to Manufacturing Engineering: * Project Management * Capital Prioritization & Tracking * Engineering Tools (ie.
