Our dynamic BSS/OSS engineering team is looking for a talented and passionate Development Operations Engineer, which will be working alongside our existing BSS/OSS development team. Your primary functions will be to enable DevOps support for our products by writing automation specs, procedures and tools in order to move us to a fully automated environment, building and maintaining developer test deployments, managing and improving build systems and implementing a full CI/CD process. There is also an internal element to the role involving the evangelization of application development teams and driving improvement in the way we service our platform through automation and repeat-ability.
To enable the successful interaction with developers around their applications and environments, you will have a full understanding of our full product portfolio and be able to enable best practices which will be shared across the team.
Secondary functions will be to provide training on your specs and configuration management best practices to other engineers. Must work well within a team environment and have strong documentation skills.
Experience operating in a distributed, highly available, multi-tenancy environment. You should have solid knowledge of Linux Systems with an innate ability to troubleshoot issues in a complex, multi-tier architecture. We are looking for an individual that wants to be part of our infrastructure/development process and able to provide input on the future execution of environments with a strong emphasis on security, scalability and resiliency.

Scripting/development expertise with Ruby, Python, Perl / Shell
Core IP services (DNS, DHCP, LDAP, NTP)
Advanced experience with storage subsystem technologies
Understanding of distributed file systems
Experience with one or more of:
Private Cloud virtualization (OpenStack, VMware)
Public Cloud virtualization (AWS, RackSpace, etc.)
Standard web platforms (PostgreSQL, NGINX, HAProxy)
Configuration Management Systems (Chef, Puppet, CFEngine, etc.)
Network monitoring systems (Nagios, Zabbix, Zenoss, Sensu, etc.)
Prior experience in an internet-facing technical operations role with SLA obligations
Ability to successfully work with Cloud systems (Rackspace, EC2)
Strong scripting ability in Lua, Perl and/or Python
Understanding of any of the following technologies:
Docker, or any other container technology
Understanding of message queuing systems and protocols
Understanding of Column Family Datastore (Cassandra, Hbase)
