DevOps Engineer

Job Summary:
Infor is looking to hire a DevOps Engineer to join a DevOps team to develop and operate the effective 24x7 operation of a technical stack of applications in the cloud.

The DevOps team wants an Engineer experienced with the operational needs of a cloud service that supports both managed hosting and SaaS applications. Our new DevOps Engineer will play a key role in building and evolving the operational support of our cloud and making it the best one on the Internet. We're looking for engaged candidates that are smart, passionate and with a mindset of applying creative engineering approaches to managing complex systems.


Maintain the Starmount cloud technology stack

Monitor the health of the fleet - Use data-driven decisions to optimize existing systems and manage service level objectives

Identify and remove bottlenecks, manage and balance connections, handle data replication and ensure data resiliency

Triage and solve production issues through the post-mortem and remediation phase

Maintain multiple environments including Development, Quality Assurance, and production

Prioritize and communicate product defects and enhancements to Developers, Quality Assurance, Business Analysts and Project Managers

Drive standardization efforts across multiple disciplines and services

Focus on efficiency, automation, and reducing costs - taking manual and repetitive tasks and automating them

Develop and maintain tools and processes to improve our ability to rapidly deploy, scale and effectively monitor custom applications in a large-scale cloud-based environment

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors of Science in Computer Science or related field preferred

  • At least 2+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services including, but not limited to, AWS services such as EC2, RDS, Route 53, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, and Lambda.
