Brief Posting Description

Mid to Senior-level development position. Serves in leadership role with assigned volunteers and constituents.

Works with Peer to Peer fundraising events, some Outreach Programs and various office operations. Supervises select volunteers or committees. Leadership responsibility for managing, coordinating and leveraging the comprehensive development areas of the chapter as assigned.

Detailed Description

In coordination with the Executive Director and volunteer leadership and committees, identify and cultivate new corporate sponsorships and individual partners for Chapter Peer to Peer Events and for the Chapter as a whole as determined by Executive Director.

In coordination with the Executive Director and volunteer leadership and committees, cultivates, stewards and develops growth in returning corporate and individual chapter sponsorship partners and Corporate and Family Walk Teams and identifies new volunteer relationships through Outreach opportunties.

Maintains accurate and complete financial records for all corporate and individual sponsorship partners and volunteer relationships.

Maintains standards for all events and non-events programs established at the international level.

Accountable for meeting deadlines, responding to volunteers and other department requests.

Network with the resource team and other JDRF chapters to discuss best practices and share new ideas.

Collaborate with chapter staff to ensure the critical growth and success of the chapter.

Work in partnership with the Development Manager.

Perform other duties assigned by the Executive Director.

We are currently seeking a full-time Development Manager to become a part of a team with integrity and commitment to creating a service environment that empowers people to recover. POSITION DETAILS: Position Title: Development Manager Department: Marketing & Development Employment Status: Full-time, exempt Pay: $40,000-$50,000 DOE POSITION OVERVIEW: The Development Manager supports the mission of De Paul by planning, implementing, and coordinating essential development activities to raise operating, special project and capital funds from individual, foundation, and corporate donors. The Manager develops and implements an annual fundraising plan that helps De Paul achieve its strategic goals. The position works closely with the CEO to identify and solicit major gifts. The Manager maintains and expands support from donors through oversight and execution of fundraising events, the annual giving campaign, grant writing, special appeals, and stewardship. The Manager maintains De Paul’s donor database (Raiser’s Edge), ensuring accurate maintenance of all donor data and conducts regular reporting and analysis of fundraising data. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, exemplary problem solving skills, strong time management and the capability of working both independently and as a member of a collaborative team. The ideal candidate will have three or more years’ experience fundraising in a nonprofit environment. An understanding of and experience in the health care field is a plus. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 3 or more years of nonprofit fundraising experience Bachelor’s degree Proficient in Raiser’s Edge and other database software We encourage applications from those in recovery, but we require 2+ years of continuous sobriety for candidates who identify with being in recovery.
