Our internships have a specific focus, but often get broader exposure to SB Energy's business, gaining insight into different areas of the company and the renewable energy industry.

This internship will help you acquire marketable project development skills by participating in key initiatives that will impact future renewable energy projects. You will gain broad experience in energy project development and should be prepared to enter a fast-paced, collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Using Google Earth and similar software, evaluate property for its suitability as a solar and/or battery storage project site.

• Assist in engaging and managing consultants that are used to secure project sites, perform environmental surveys and other site due diligence and permitting activities.

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of project budgets and tracking actual expenses.

• Manage document control for energy projects in the development phase, including contracts, reports, plans, and submittals.

• Coordinate and support the interrelated activities of the Development, Power Marketing, Project Finance, Legal, Engineering, Construction, and Asset Management teams.

Skills And Experience:

• Coursework related to the renewable energy industry and/or wholesale electricity markets

• Ability to use digital mapping platforms

• Ability to read, understand, and edit legal contracts

• Proficiency in MS Office applications

• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal and communication skills

• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
