The Resource Development team is searching for a highly motivated and organized Development Data Administrator. This individual will manage the donor database, process and record philanthropic gifts, create reports to analyze fundraising activities, coordinate with the finance department, and administer online giving and registration forms. This role requires a tech-savvy and innovative individual skilled in database management and data analysis and a basic understanding of nonprofit accounting. The ideal candidate will be able to think creatively, identify inefficiencies, and implement new tools and solutions to improve data management and analysis capabilities. Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain the donor database, ensuring data accuracy and completeness
Process and record philanthropic gifts accurately and efficiently in the donor database
Collaborate with the finance team on reconciliation and audit preparation
Create queries, reports, and dashboards to meet fundraising needs and analyze fundraising effectiveness
Identify inefficiencies and develop and implement improvement projects
Administer online giving and registration forms
Maintain and update fundraising-related records, including constituents, gifts, campaigns, funds, appeals, and events
Stay updated with new tools and trends to improve data management and analysis capabilities.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree
2+ years of experience in database management, data analysis, or a related field
Basic understanding of nonprofit accounting
Expertise with database management software, preferably Raiser's Edge
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools
Ability to think creatively and innovate with new tools
Excellent project management skills and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Helpful to Have
Experience with robotic process automation (RPA) to optimize processes
Proficiency with dynamic visualization tools like PowerBI
Knowledge of privacy and data security regulations and standards, including GDPR and CCPA
Knowledge of industry-specific prospect research tools like Research Point and Wealth Engine
Knowledge of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and their role in integrating and connecting various software applications and systems
