Position Title: Development Coordinator

FLSA Status: Exempt

Reports To: Executive Director, Foundation

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Development Coordinator is an integral member of the REHAB Foundation team for critical support in all fundraising activities, including special events. Responsible for gift processing, donor acknowledgement process and maintaining development records in the organizational database, including communications with donors, donor research, grant submission coordination, and performing administrative services in support of the goals and objectives by the Executive Director, Foundation (ED) and maintain the continuity of office operations and makes decisions not requiring direct attention of the ED.

Starting Wage: $42,432.00/yr.

The posted wage is the current starting wage for this position. Actual wage is dependent on the applicant's relevant experience and qualifications for this position. The wage range for this position may be subject to change in the future depending on a variety of factors such as market conditions, business needs, legal developments, and other appropriate factors.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Certification/Licensure:

  • Valid State of Hawaii driver's license

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or High school graduate with four (4) years of relevant experience

Skills/Experience:

  • Three (3) years of comparable work experience preferably in a non-profit organization.

  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office and Google's G Suite.

  • Experience using donor software/database programs (i.e. Raiser's Edge, Raiser's Edge NXT).

  • Demonstrated experience successfully working with external constituencies, both individual and corporate.

  • Excellent verbal, writing and analytical skills.

  • Schedule flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.

  • Coordinating and managing fundraising projects, fundraising campaigns, executing special events with exceptional results.

  • Managing direct mail and/or email communications for groups, and organizing volunteers, successfully.

  • Excellent computer skills and ability to work with various software programs, navigate websites and other online programs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Skills/Experience:

  • Experience in development work.

  • Seven (7) years of comparable work experience preferably in a non-profit organization.

  • Extensive experience using donor software/database programs (i.e. Raiser's Edge).

  • Minimum three (3) years of major event coordinating experience or annual fundraising campaigns with fundraising and/or revenue generating organizations special events experience, or an equivalent in professional experience.

  • Experience in a philanthropic non profit organization or healthcare organization.

  • Familiar with digital email platforms such as MailChimp or Constant Contact.

  • Familiar with online event, bidding and auction software (ie: Greater Giving)

  • Familiar with Social Media platforms.

  • Familiar with Google's G Suite.

Office supplies and equipment, including telephone, computer and multifunction devices (MFDs). Google's G Suite, report writer and database software.
