The Development Associate
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma required. Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Provides administrative support, acts as primary handler of office phone lines, greets and directs visitors, liaises with internal departments and vendors, maintains the office environment including conference room technology, processes and distributes mail, and opens the office.
Assists with fundraising CRM database tasks including list and roster maintenance, duplicate record maintenance, general biographical updates, and deceased constituent research. Compiles daily admission roster for the fundraising team.
Prepares and processes data for our grateful patient program through excel file merges, database imports, and exception report review.
Monthly fund-related reports for various organization stakeholders.
Serves as a front-line donor relations representative by handling and routing donor inquiries, reviewing daily census screening, and preparing courtesy roses.
Provides back-up support to donor engagement to fulfill of donor benefits including welcome packets, parking cards, birthday cards, valet clings, benefactor cards, and other ad-hoc donor requests.
Prepares mail and lockbox data for gift processing. Provides support for gift processing during high-volume fundraising drives.
Assists the Development Services team with regular gift entry review to ensure data integrity.

Assists with fundraising CRM data cleanup and implementation projects to achieve better alignment with our new systems.
Assists fundraising staff with CRM navigation and provides back-up administrative support.
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
Minimum 3 years' experience working in philanthropy or related field. 2 years fundraising software experience preferred. Advanced experience with MS Office including Excel formulas and formatting, and conditional Word merges.
SKILLS:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to organize and prioritize work, and sustain positive and collegial relationships with staff, donors, and volunteers. Must maintain the confidentiality of all information obtained in the course of employment including, but not limited to, financial, medical, and sensitive information regarding patients, employees, donors, and prospects.
