As a participant in the Human Resources Development Program, you will work primarily with our Compensation department. You will combine and analyze HR compensation data to assist in budgeting reports and forecasting.

You will compile and analyze HR related data for reports and presentations to the management team. You will conduct analysis, recommendation, record keeping and communication as it applies to salary ranges, grades, job titles and descriptions, job table maintenance, and FLSA designation. You will work with reviewing and updating our job descriptions and creating positions in Peoplesoft. The Human Resources Development Associate's career path is to move into a Human Resources Financial Analyst or Compensation Analyst role.


Trustmark focuses on program participants who have a demonstrated strong work ethic and leadership skills through academic performance, work experience and campus involvement. In addition, interested students should also:

  • Earned a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Business, Accounting, or Human Resources a minimum GPA of 3.0 Scheduled to graduate on or before June 2021 Prior experience with Excel with an ability to learn Pivot tables, v-look ups, etc. Detail oriented, organized, analytical and demonstrated problem solving abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Able to handle complex projects with a sense of urgency, adaptability to change, innovation, tech savvy and results oriented Internship or prior work experience a plus Enthusiasm and genuine interest in developing a career with Trustmark and the financial industry

The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) has adopted the HR Modernization and Shared Services Implementation, which is a new model of organizing and consolidating essential Human Resource (HR) functions and services to the Network level. This improvement to HR service delivery will best support the needs of the VISN's diverse workforce and the expectations of management related to the acquisition, compensation, retention, and performance of staff as well as the consistent execution of HR-related administrative functions. As a HR Specialist (Staffing) assigned to the Strategic Business Unit, you will be responsible for providing quality customer and consultative service and performing the full range of non-competitive recruitment and staffing for Title 5 and T38 occupations. You will ensure that all placement actions meet regulatory requirements; and will consult on and ensure all pre-employment requirements are met, such as: position management and organizational design, pay administration such as physician market pay; setting pay for Title 5, Title 38 and Hybrid employees, using multiple pay scales and various information sources; VetPro Credentialing; position descriptions, functional statements, scopes of practice, crediting plans, and job analysis. The duties of this position include, but may not be limited to: * Assisting with strategic facility support (i.e. development of short and long-term facility recruitment plans). * Consultative, on station support to leadership, managers and employees. * Hiring through non-competitive appointment flexibilities to include the evaluation of applications and resumes using Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and Veterans Administration (VA) qualification standards; and verifying candidate eligibility. * Coordination of onboarding processes. * Trainee Recruitment * Sourcing of candidate pools for non-competitive and hire right/hire fast recruitment activity.
