Covenant Community Care, a faith based charitable non-profit Community Health Center serving the people of Metro Detroit, has an opening for a full-time Development Associate.

Specific Duties include:

  • Identify, cultivate and solicit philanthropic support by developing and maintaining relationships with assigned prospects and donors, as well as connecting donors with other staff as appropriate.

  • Plan and facilitate tours, fundraising events (with an emphasis on Courage to Care), and stewardship activities for past, present, and future supporters.

  • Manage online donor database including routine information entry and gift processing, data integrity checks, data analysis, and reconciliation with finance.

  • Manage general volunteering requests. Ensure that process is working to connect qualified applicants with Covenant needs.

  • Create/develop and maintain website, newsletters, annual reports, online giving portals, email communications, social media sites and print materials.

  • Join/participate in community groups, organizations and committees to network and build relationships.

  • Assist with grant writing and research.

  • Travel as needed both locally and out-of-town.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Development Director.


  • Prior fundraising experience preferred

  • Prior grant writing experience preferred

  • Bachelors Degree preferred

  • Prior experience creating and maintaining a web site and other social media outlets

  • Proven ability to write at a high level

  • Excellent computer skills

  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation

  • Ability to travel

Responsibilities: * Develop Surfaces necessary to support the clay development process up to and including Class 1A Surface, Cheats, Overcrowns and First Flange and Fillets * Incorporate feasibility requirements into surface, such as Engineering, Manufacturing, Package and Architectural constraints * Interface with program teams and downstream activities to enhance the development of surface from Design Intent through final release of Class 2 Surface * Develops and maintains a coordinated Class A surface database (e.g. reference manager / data log) * Ensure incorporation of appropriated technical, attribute, and program requirements into Class A surface per Design Development process * Ability to develop creative solutions to Engineering/Manufacturing and Design challenges Basic Qualifications: * H.S.
