Providence is calling a Development Assistant (Foundation Department, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Mount St. Vincent in Seattle, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.

In this position you will:

  • Manage the gift-processing function; including data entry, preparing acknowledgement letters, accounting reports, fund balances, fund transfers and reconciliation of records.

  • Manage donor records (hard copy and computerized): including pledge and gift records, pledge-reminder system, commemorative records and grants.

  • Manage administrative and corporate records: including Board and committee minutes and resolutions, policies and procedures and corporate licenses and permits.

  • Maintain records of non-cash gifts and their disposal to ensure accurate accounting of assets.

  • Prepare monthly income reports and works with Finance Department staff on matters affecting income records, including gift restrictions, fund balances and transfers and investment income.

  • Provide Administrative Assistance to Executive Director including correspondence, office filing systems and support on special projects.

  • Assist in coordinating Special Events.

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Associate's Degree (AA) degree or equivalent work experience

  • Current driver's license

  • Three (3) years experience in a comparable institutional setting

  • Experience in using Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Experience with data entry and working within complex databases, preferably customer relationship management systems.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills (both oral and written)

  • Demonstrated ability to work concurrently on diverse projects, under pressure while maintaining high standards for accuracy, productivity and confidentiality.

  • Previous budget/financial experience

Programs offered include assisted living apartments, skilled nursing in specially designed neighborhoods, short-stay sub-acute care, an adult day program and the Intergenerational Learning Center for child care of infants and preschool age children.
