Development & Sales Coordinator

ZooTampa at Lowry Park is one of the most popular zoos in the southeastern U.S., with over 1 million visitors annually. We have grown to what now encompasses 56 acres of naturalistic animal exhibits in a lush, tropical garden setting. The Zoo, accredited by Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), offers popular educational programming, fun recreational amenities, up-close animal encounters and engaging seasonal events for which it has won awards as one of the country's most family-friendly zoos.

Your day to day
Research and secure offsite events that allow the Zoo to generate sales/awareness
Research market to identify top-level prospects for individual donors and sponsors
Fulfill donor/sponsor commitments and facilitate contract process
Oversee organization of printed materials, premium items and giveaways
Participate in special events, fundraisers and other marketing functions
Track and manage invoices, purchase orders, daily checkbook entries, all donor information
Prepare and manage meeting materials, presentations, invitations, and guest lists
Support the development of proposals and grant submissions
Perform other general administrative duties as needed, including maintenance coordination of Department assets (Ex: Golf Cart)
What are we looking for?
This position requires you to have excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills in addition to providing excellent hospitality and customer service. You should be able to work independently, problem solve, and have a positive attitude regardless of the situation.
Minimum 2 years' experience in development, sales or marketing required, Zoo/Amusement Park experience a plus
Bachelor's degree preferred
Bilingual is a plus
Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Publisher)
Experience with CRM; Raiser's Edge & Salesforce
Experience with budgeting process; account tracking, submission of product and service orders, reconciliation of monthly budget
Ability to work in weather conditions typical to Florida
Must be able to work varied and long shifts including evenings, holidays, weekends, and special events
Conduct all activities in alignment with AZA standards and guidelines, all relevant laws and regulations, safety standards, and standards that ensure animal welfare
