Developer

Role: MySQL Developer

• Develop DB scripts for the issues in production

• Review the queries in the code base and suggest feedbacks and improvements

• Provide guidance to the developers for developing queries

• Support production, QA and other lower environment databases

• Query optimization - Identify bottlenecks in the performance of DB and tuning DB and queries

• Develop and maintain Entity Relationship diagram and Data Flow Diagram

• Develop, maintain and review data models

• Perform capacity planning of the DB for growth working closely with DBAs

• Prepare reports from the DB for monthly reporting and other needs

• Work closely with other developers and identify opportunities to improve the performance of SQL operations

• Work closely with the DBA's to perform the routine DB tasks and replication activities

Skills:

• Minimum 8 yrs of experience in DB Development

• Strong experience in MySQL development

• Experience in MSSQL is desirable

• Experience performing optimization and DB tuning efforts

• Experience configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting MySQL DB with master-slave configuration running on Linux

• Experience working in agile environment

• Experience with source control tools like SVN, GIT
