QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or revelant experience/certification in supporting/developing Oracle E-Business Suite Application or other Applications

  • Two (2) years of experience in any of the following: SQL, PL/SQL, PL/SQL Developer, TOAD, IDE, SQL Navigator, Oracle Forms, Extensions, Form Customization/Personalization, Oracle XML Publisher, Oracle Workflow, Data Loader, Discoverer, Oracle Applications Framework (OAF) , Application Express (APEX), Java, J2EE, Java Script, Object Oriented Paradigm

  • Communicates clearly and effectively with technical and non-technical staff

  • Experience providing and maintaining various types of documentation (SOP, user, technical, testing)

  • Experience debugging, troubleshooting and resolving issues

  • Experience using SQL or any other programming language

  • Experience using any Integrated Development Environment

  • Experience using Service Management application (ticket tracking software)

  • Experience using Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle Reports, Oracle Forms, Alerts, and Workflow preferred

  • Knowledge of and experience with Java/developer and/or web application development preferred

  • Knowledge and experience in Oracle R12 modules including Human Resources, Payroll, Labor Distribution, Benefits, Time and Labor, Self Service, Alerts, System Administration preferred

  • Ability to work independently

  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Communicate clearly and effectively with technical and non-technical staff

  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

  • Primary production support resource for the Oracle Application Modules/Areas including Human Resources, Payroll, Labor Distribution, Time Labor, Benefits and Other Custom Applications

  • Provide Tier 2 technical production support which includes but not limited to troubleshooting issues, technical testing, user training, business analysis, development/programming, and maintenance activities of the Oracle Application

  • Manage end user issues requiring minumum technical fixes by troubleshooting the issues, logging Oracle Service Requests and coordinating with the end users

  • Perform and/or assist in debugging, troubleshooting and resolving application and data integrity issues

  • Monitor scheduled application interfaces and provide issue resolution

  • Assist the team with unit testing modules for larger patch testing, project releases /upgrades.

  • Develop technical and user documentation

  • Analyze issues and recommend remediation as well as preventative measures

  • Perform ad-hoc reporting for user departments

  • Perform other duties as assigned by departmental supervisor(s), manger(s) and/or team lead(s)

  • On-call support is required

Salary minimum: $67,816

Selected individuals for Dallas Independent School District positions will be placed according to compensation guidelines. A campus-based employee may not assume a new position for which he/she was selected based upon the posting process until the end of the current semester, unless approved by the chief officer Human Capital Management.
