Scope and Purpose of Position:

We are currently hiring for a top notch individual to office in San Antonio, TX, Latham, NY, or Baltimore, MD for the position of .Net Developer. The developer will analyze business requirements, develop a design plan, translate plan into program specifications (or a manual process), code, test, and coordinate implementation.

Essential Functions:

  • Work with internal associates to identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement.

  • Develop work plans for assigned projects.

  • New and existing software maintenance.

  • Translate requirements into programming specifications.

  • Code and test program changes, created or installed.

Education & Experience:

  • Preferred bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent combination or experience and education

  • Three (3) plus years of n-tiered application development experience on the Microsoft platform

Competencies:

  • Experience with web and/or win forms

  • Must be highly proficient in C# and productive within the standard Visual Studio IDE and source control environment

  • Strong OO Analysis and Design skills

  • Experience with SQL Server integration with the middle tier

  • Strong Transact SQL, database modeling and database optimization skills

  • Experience with SOA and .NET remoting services technology preferred

  • Experience with SSIS a plus

Duties will include leading the design, development, documentation, test and debug of a new software application for a United States Air Force customer. This is a full-time, remote telework position. Employees must be within driving distance to San Antonio, TX. Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Lead the development of custom code and implementation of application builds, releases, deployment, and follow-on maintenance * Lead the full life-cycle of software development following an Agile process, including requirements development, modeling and design, application development, code peer reviews, unit testing, integration, formal system testing, release, installation, and maintenance * Provide oversight for the integration, test, and deployment of front-end web interface, back-end web services, and database development activities through active engagement with all project staff including other software developers, requirements development and test personnel, system administrators, and cybersecurity analysts * Support configuration management activities * Provide software development leadership in maintaining an internal continuous integration process for multiple system administrators in a virtual environment * Engineer scripts to support building and test plan execution * Meet established deadlines * Additional tasks as required Required Skills: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT Systems, Engineering or another technical field, or related major.
