Developer 5, Systems Software sought by Merastar Insurance Company in Jacksonville, FL. 40 hrs./wk. Duties include:

Provide tech. guidance for systems portfolio & lead large tech. initiatives. Develop, document, & execute unit test cases. Resolve complex & unique tech. problems & issues with assigned apps. & work processes.

Review & recommend test plans for impacted areas & end to end test coverage. Recommend improvements to existing processes or propose new ones. Ensure reviews for quality (accurate & complete) of application software designs are scheduled & conducted to ensure optimal use of software systems.

Consult with internal & external customers on the utilization of apps. computing technologies to ensure that customers optimize value. Identify & author tech. controls, security concepts & SOX requirements. Remote work / telecommuting benefits available - Hybrid position.

Must report to office worksite 1-2 days per wk. Must reside within MSA of worksite. MIN.REQ.: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equiv., in Computer Science or related field. 10 yrs. exp. in job offered.

SPECIAL REQ.: 5 yrs. exp. with the following: Java, JDBC, JMS; Spring Framework, SQL & Databases, XML, Web Services, Eclipse, Application Servers, Junit, IBM Filenet P8, Websphere, CMIS, WILY, SPLUNK, J2EE programming languages; program design methods & techniques & standard development tools; business process life cycles & systems located within business domain systems; frameworks & development tools; executing & supporting testing; various project methodologies (agile & waterfall). 3 yrs. exp. with Insurance or Financial Services or of a software suite. Up to 5% short term, domestic travel may be involved to attend industry conferences.
