The Business Systems Analyst III works closely with our Digital Product Managers, UX Designers and Developers to create world class software products. This person will the team and business to define requirements, identify end-to-end solutions, and validate that the work completed meets both the defined acceptance criteria and the overarching objective.

They will ensure that the developers and the client business have everything required to keep work moving forward. They will clearly account for changes and decisions as needed, and will ensure all parties understand their roles and contributions to projects and deliverables.

What you will do here:

Create and refine User Stories including acceptance criteria - breaking down Epics from Product Managers, capturing tech debt, and ensuring all requests are captured in Jira from all channels / meetings. Research and gather additional technical details to support User Story / acceptance criteria. Communicate with stakeholders or vendors for story validation or questions.

Act as Scrum Master - clearing roadblock / gaps and escalating questions or clarifying requirements as needed, manage sprints, and collaborate on code freeze windows and dependencies for releases. Partner with Developers / QA on backlog grooming/refinement and sizing and Product Managers for release planning. Coordinate with other ScrumMasters and Product Owners for shared resources based on demand and priorities.

Act as a cross-team liaison for dependencies on other IT teams / STS resources and/or between Project and Product Managers for work impacting assigned Product(s). Review of support tickets - evaluate impacts, escalating tickets for developer review, coaching Tier 1 to obtain details or resolve and communicating with all stakeholders through resolution. Coordination of Tier 2/3 support for production outages or issues including escalation.

Support product releases including participating in deployments. Create or update documentation including collaborating on/ maintaining knowledge base documents, operational hand-off, and training.

Facilitate and/or participate in solution discussions and refinement meetings to obtain details, business and technical, confirming final solution resolves the problem identified. Ensure solution is holistic including impacted parties (Member and Employee), downstream challenges, dependencies, and potential gaps.

Create and update documentation including Visio flows and quick wireframes or mockups to visually communicate desired outcomes, confirm requirements, and support the end goal. Partner with UX/UI Designer and Product Managers for confirmation of mock-ups against requirements and capture ideas or improvements discussed during mock-up reviews.

Act as a liaison, bridging the gap between business problems and technology solutions. Communicate with stakeholders or vendors on status requests, escalating if changes to functionality or requirements are requested.

Use data querying tools and reporting to perform data analysis as needed by Product Managers. Have a mid-level understanding of the systems, vendors, logic, architecture, and technical components that support the processes of assigned product(s). Participate in RFPs, vendor research, and build vs buy discussions for product features.

Leverage Financial Services (or similar regulated field) and Information Technology concepts, best practices, and procedures to aid in solution design. Develop and implement information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance. Partner with other BAs and BSAs on solutions going across multiple teams and on process improvements for the organization in the analyst's roles.

What you will need:

Bachelor's degree in Business Systems or related field preferred; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

5+ years hands-on experience performing business analyst and/or systems analyst work preferred.

5+ years consecutive, hands-on IT project experience preferred.

JIRA or similar Agile/SCRUM Software experience required.

Ability to perform SQL Queries to collect and assess data for solution design and perform minor data updates required.

Project management experience requiring technical knowledge in a broad range of technical competencies required.

Strong relationship-building and customer service skills required.

Excellent communication skills preferred.

Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment required.

Experience with data tools (SSRS, PowerBI, SSMS, DataGrip) preferred.

Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Visio, Word, Excel required.

Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) required.

Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) preferred.

BSA Certification preferred.

Project Management Certification preferred.

PCI-PThe Payment Card Industry Professional preferred.
