We are looking for a Detail Specialist to ensure that trucks, trailers and other equipment are thoroughly cleaned inside and out. This person will apply protective dressings to vinyl and rubber surfaces, clean inside and outside of truck cabs and van boxes, clean mirrors and windows, and make sure all equipment is "customer ready."

Position requires a valid driver's license and a good driving record to operate a motor vehicle. Adhere to all local vehicular regulations while driving.

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts or machines, fumes or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing, or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing, walking, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching or similar activities, and lifting a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.

Position Overview An individual in this position performs all tasks involved in the detail polish portion of On-X LTI production, including hand polishing, shaping or blending small intricate parts using jeweler type equipment and microscopes and visually and dimensionally inspecting components for conformance to written specifications. Follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. Employee must possess a strong understanding of FDA & ISO manufacturing practices, adapt easily to changes to product style, tools, and work environment. An employee in this position should understand the production process thoroughly. This position will also be cross trained in Final Assembly. Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Detail Polish: * Visually inspect components with the aid of a microscope fitted with reticle. Understand cosmetic and functional discrepancies, critical and non-critical areas to make pass/fail decisions * Detail polish components using established methods and materials to remove anomalies while maintaining dimensions. This requires the use of small hand-held power tools (similar to a dental drill), collets and polishing compounds and the use of various polishing techniques * Operate component cleaning and lasers etch equipment per written procedures. This requires monitoring and documenting results * Shape or blend substrates or coated components effectively using various techniques per written procedures * Perform in-process measurement using microscope reticles, profilometer, calipers, hand held mirror, or similar equipment Final Assembly (Sewing): * Perform in-process measurement using torque watches, 6" rulers or scale, or similar equipment. * Pull/pick components for assembly. Assemble components * Fabrication of sewing cuffs. Requires ability to sew with needle, perform repetitive task while maintaining quality standards. Requires good or corrected eyesight, good eye/hand coordination and sewing skill * Operate cauterizers, presses, tray sealing and heat sealing equipment per written procedures. This requires monitoring and documenting results On a daily basis, perform the following component processing tasks as required: * Control traceability of components and proper sign-off of traveler and/or computer, continually ensuring that documentation is acceptable * Keep work area and equipment in clean, orderly condition * Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimal supervision * Observe safety practices concerning self and others * Identify and recommend changes to solve problems that appear in the daily processes * Understand and follow company and departmental policies and practices * Keep supervisor advised of work status, workload, problems and progress as related to work assignments * Perform other duties as assigned Additional Responsibilities: * Relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions: (a) can get along with co-workers or peers without exhibiting behavioral extremes; (b) respond appropriately to criticism from a supervisor * Manage time effectively Qualifications * Two years in a manufacturing environment preferred * Experience in inspection or assembly or similar intricate hand work preferred * Understand FDA & ISO manufacturing practices. Adapt easily to changes to product style, tools and work environment * Perform inspection using a microscope for extended periods of time * Ability to maintain quality orientation and attention to detail * Good manual dexterity for handling small parts * Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written instructions * Basic computer skills including at minimum, being adept in use of MS Office, internet, and electronic mail * Strong interpersonal and communication skills * Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions * Required to read, write, and speak English with good command of the language, follow verbal and written instructions and use simple math * High school diploma or equivalent Company Info Who We Are.
