Pleasant Holidays is one of the largest travel wholesalers in the United States specializing in vacation travel to the Hawaiian Islands, Central America, South America, Europe, Mexico, Middle East, South Pacific, the United States & Canada, and cruise vacations worldwide is seeking a Destination Marketing Manager for the U.S. and Canada.

Pleasant Holidays is a subsidiary of the Automobile Club of Southern California a diversified insurance, roadside assistance, financial services and travel organization serving more than 15 million AAA Members across 21 states.

Primary Duties:

  • Develop and execute Cooperative Marketing Plans, for Pleasant Holidays and Journese, with key hotels, visitor bureaus/tourist boards, transportation companies, activities and airlines to the United States & Canada

  • Negotiate and secure Cooperative Marketing Funds from designated suppliers

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies, campaigns and promotions to drive incremental revenue for the United States & Canada

  • Work with the Product Team to ensure proper product support and exposure while supporting cooperative marketing revenue goals

  • Work with Sales Team to ensure necessary tools are provided to generate and increase sales

  • Work with the Training specialist to ensure training materials properly support the destination(s) while focusing on education travel agents/key accounts

  • Ensure all Sales & Marketing initiatives, print and digital, support the revenue goals of Pleasant Holidays

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • BA in Business Administration/Marketing or a minimum of 3 years' experience in travel related marketing

  • Destination knowledge of key cities in the United States (New York, Florida, Las Vegas, etc.) & Canada (British Columbia, Quebec, Vancouver, etc.)

  • Additional destination knowledge preferred

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to travel as required
