The Desktop Support Analyst serves as the primary customer service interface between Information Technology (IT) and HEICO Team Members. The Desktop Support Analyst must provide excellent technical support and timely resolution to Team Member incidents, problems and requests. The Desktop Support Analyst will study, analyze, evaluate and document current and projected computer-based applications requests implementation and maintenance of revised or new systems as well as software maintenance issues in order to ensure proper completion.

Desktop Support Analyst

  • Responsibilities:
  • Under general direction, participates in the installation and support of servers, databases, network communications, including LAN/WAN systems.

  • Maximizes system and network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with the ISG team.

  • Creates and maintains all system related documentation; creates standard operating procedures for both ISG and the Support Center.

  • Promptly respond to all incidents, problems, requests and electronic contacts (e.g. Phone calls, Emails, Web requests, etc.)

  • Monitor and track incident, problems and requests to ensure progress and accurate resolution.

  • Work with other IT areas in order to maximize incident, problem, request resolution and meet SLA's.

  • Perform root cause analysis and develop new resolutions to frequently occurring incidents and problems.

  • Contribute to Knowledge Base in order to aid the troubleshooting process and to avoid future incident/problem re-occurrence.

  • Cross-train team members in order to provide better system coverage and flexibility.

  • Provides constant follow-up on assignment and email queues.

  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities (reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations, etc).

  • Accomplishes information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

  • Reporting network operational status by gathering, prioritizing information; managing assigned projects.

Desktop Support Analyst

  • Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.

  • Associate degree in Computer Science or Management Information System from an accredited college/university or equivalent combination of experience and/or education strongly preferred.

  • A+ and/or Network+ Certification required.

  • Experience:
  • At least two years of hands on experience in a fast paced, dynamic technical environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desktop Support Analyst

  • Skills:
  • Working knowledge of Windows, AIX, Linux, SharePoint, Citrix, HEAT, BMC, Windows 7/8, Terminal Server, Microsoft Office /2003/7/10, Microsoft SQL, and Visio.

  • Basic experience with SQL Server and SQL Database Administration a plus.

  • Knowledge of Backup Exec, Net Backup software, and Backup Tape Management experience a plus.

  • Good understanding of Windows NT/2000/XP/Vista, Outlook, MS Office, Ris, Ghost, HEAT, Crystal Reports Basic Network Administration and Engineering Applications/Platforms (e.g. Autocad, Imagesite, Progress, etc.) Must have a good understanding of PC hardware components (HD, Network Cards, CD ROMs, etc.). Must be familiar with Dell-IBM PCs/Laptops and HP printers

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization ;bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage time efficiently; ability to handle multiple projects.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Open-minded to flexible solutions and have the initiative to engage in process and technology enhancements.

VIEW JOBS 10/19/2020 12:00:00 AM 2021-01-17T00:00 The Position Under the general direction of the Director and/or Deputy Director, this is a highly responsible position consisting of managerial, administrative and professional engineering work of considerable difficulty, planning, directing, analyzing and coordinating engineering design, construction and construction inspection of municipal engineering projects. This position is responsible for managing engineering division staff and budget. Work is reviewed through conferences and written reports for results obtained. * Provides engineering and project management to the Development Services or Public Utility divisions (stormwater, wastewater, and water services); prepares capital improvement project budgets; prepares cost estimates for complex projects. * Supervises engineers, architects, inspectors, supervisory and technical staff. * Oversees and conducts municipal construction projects. * Reviews reports and makes recommendations; evaluates engineering solutions, and ensures coordination with overall policy. * Works with the Director and senior management to develop policies and procedures and determines direction to be taken as related to timing and processes for capital projects, organizational changes, and system priorities. * Procures consultant services; prepares Requests for Proposal and other procurement documents as needed. Employee assigned to Development Services: * Functions as the City Engineer in his/her absence. * Conducts traffic engineering, transportation planning and surveying activities. * Reviews plats, vacation, easement and related documents for private/public projects to ensure compliance with Federal, State, County and Local statutes. * Plans, directs and conducts traffic surveys, volume analyses, accident analyses and parking surveys. * Oversees and directs concrete sidewalk, curb, gutter and streets resurfacing projects. * Serves as liaison between Federal, State and County officials on transportation and traffic engineering matters. * Acts as City's technical liaison with the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and sits on the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC). * Acts as the City liaison with the FDOT on traffic/transportation matters. * Acts as City Liaison with Broward County Traffic Engineering and Broward County Transit Engineering Divisions. * Reviews engineering plans for signal and channelization installations, traffic signal timing schedules and diagrams, and recommends street striping and signage installations. * Determines the need and justification for traffic control devices, parking lot entrances and one-way streets. * Initiates intersection improvement projects, identifies and secures funds to complete such projects. * Reviews site plan and traffic impact studies, conducts traffic engineering studies. * Analyzes traffic problems and provides solutions, advises elected officials and other departments on transportation and traffic issues; provides technical guidance on neighborhood traffic management and implications. * Must effectively and positively represent the City in delivering and performing work with colleagues and clients, irrespective of gender, race, religion, age, disability, political affiliation or belief, or sexual orientation. * Must establish and maintain effective and professional relationships with work colleagues, supervisors and managers. * Performs related work as required. The Requirements REQUIRED: * Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in civil engineering with a heavy emphasis on traffic engineering or public utility (stormwater, wastewater, and water services) depending on area of assignment. * Five (5) years of progressively responsible professional municipal engineering experience of which two (2) years must be in traffic engineering or public utility (stormwater, wastewater, and water services) depending on area of assignment PREFERRED: * Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in civil engineering with a heavy emphasis on traffic engineering or public utility (stormwater, wastewater, and water services) depending on area of assignment. * Five (5) years of experience in traffic engineering or public utility (stormwater, wastewater, and water services) depending on area of assignment. Additional education and experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience may be substituted for the above requirements. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: * Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Florida required * Valid Driver's License: With proof of automobile insurance * Background Check: Must have an acceptable background record * Driving Abstract: Must have an acceptable driving record The Examination Required Education and Background Information: Look over the announcement carefully to determine your eligibility.
