We are looking for a Desktop Support Analyst in our Fort Bragg, North Carolina location. This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) CONUS based organization.

The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner. The candidate will be required to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts along with the ability to operate individually across a wide range of systems, networking, and communications issues. The candidate must be experienced in interfacing with both client managers and system users and will report directly to the Senior Desktop Engineer for this task. The Desktop Technician ensures compliance with both Quality Assurance (QA) and Information Assurance (IA) standards. This individual must be well versed in the technical expertise required in the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of systems and devices, and possess the ability work independently, yet able to take direction when required to meet operational readiness deadlines. The successful candidate provides multi-faceted support directly to the customer and works their issues to resolution. The candidate must be familiar with the deployment processes for PC as well as numerous other peripheral devices.

The successful candidate must be a self-starter with a working experience of inventory procedures and accurate configuration management information. The successful candidate must possess the ability to understand SOF unique requirements and tailor the configurations of systems and/or devices to meet needs of SOF operations while remaining within the appropriate regulations and guidelines.

Required:

  • Top Secret/SCI Clearance

  • Security + Certification

  • 5 years of experience maintaining network, video, servers, workstations, and peripheral hardware and related software.

  • Good communication skills; shows tact, effective listening skills and follow through

  • Provides technical guidance and leadership to engineers and technicians with less experience.

  • Demonstrated experience with Tier-2 desktop customer support

  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)
  • Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)

This position is contingent upon contract award. JOB DESCRIPTION: * Provide functional and Technical Support to the Special Operations Communications Systems (SOCS) SPAWAR Atlantic IPT on CSS SATCOM Ku-band auto- acquire satellite terminals, Combat Service Support Very Small Aperture Terminals (CSS VSATs) and other WIN-T sub systems. * Operate satellite communications packages and be able to conduct network operation utilizing the technology. * Understand, deploy, and maintain satellite communication technologies for forward exploitation network architecture. * Provide on- demand expertise for SATCOM troubleshooting in the Laboratory and forward, as required. * Provide Onsite Briefings for unit personnel. * Provide technical and tactical support and oversite for all WIN-T users. * Perform Technical Troubleshooting. * Create customized training events to the individual units specifications to include current equipment and capabilities, the new equipment to be integrated and the upgrades in capabilities. * Provide classroom theory instruction and over the shoulder practical field training on SATCOM CSS-VSAT systems and sub systems. * Maintain and update an electronic database of common procedural issues and solutions or quick fixes to known issues. * Capture and File Electronic Trouble Reports and Software Change Requests. * Assist in Implementing New WIN-T Subsystems. * Report Data Quality Issues to Unit Personnel. Support Remote Deployments. * Short duration travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations. * Coordinate Hardware/Software Replacements and Upgrades. * Assist in Fielding New Hardware. Assist in Fielding New Software Versions. Qualifications REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * Technical Training in DoD C5ISR systems. * Fifteen (15) years of hands-on experience with Joint Warfighter C4ISR, to include three (3) of the following four (4) areas: Systems Requirements, Operational Requirements, Test & Evaluation, and Training. Recognized expert who has demonstrated industry and public service leadership in Joint Warfighter C4ISR systems.
