What you get to do every single day

  • Interact regularly and effectively with ticket submitters

  • Provide support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems

  • Offer computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures

  • Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities

  • Rectify computer problems, and suggest appropriate action/solutions

  • Arrange hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors

  • Maintain, analyze, and fix computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals

Job Requirements

  • Knowledgeable when it comes to writing reports, business correspondence, user instructions, and procedure manuals

  • Microsoft Windows experience desired

  • Mac OS X experience highly desired

  • Proficiency in Mac OS

  • Foundational knowledge in PC desktop/workstations

  • Expertise in Microsoft Office

  • 2+ years of desktop support or other related experience

The University Center for the Arts is a nationally recognized state-of the art 350,000 square foot facility, that includes a 550-seat concert hall, a 275-seat organ and chamber music recital hall, a 320-seat thrust theatre, a 100-seat black box theatre, a 200-seat dance theatre, dedicated rehearsal, production and research spaces, along with classrooms, labs and practice rooms. Position Summary The School of Music, Theatre and Dance at Colorado State University seeks an energetic individual with a musical background who will support and promote the Athletic Bands, which currently includes the CSU Marching Band, the Basketball Pep Band, and the Presidential Pep Band. The Athletic Band Support Specialist (ABSS) assists in planning and coordinating numerous large-scale events, assists with purchasing and budgets, represents SMTD to prospective students and their families in the region and at CSU, and serves as the Instrument Curator for all SMTD musical instruments. The ABSS must be highly organized, and be able to work well with and provide excellent service to a variety of stake-holders, including: students, parents, faculty, alumni, and the general public. The ABSS's work schedule must accommodate attendance of events on evenings and weekends, as well as periodic travel for off-campus functions and/or football games.
