Responsibilities

  • Interface regularly and effectively with ticket submitters

  • Offer support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems

  • Coordinate hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors

  • Support, examine, and repair computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals

  • Resolve computer problems, and give guidance on appropriate action/solutions

  • Administer computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures

  • Develop records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of desktop support or other related experience

  • Microsoft Windows 98 experience

  • Ability to quickly write reports, business correspondence, user instructions, and procedure manuals

VIEW JOBS 1/14/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-14T00:00 <p>The Sr. Desktop Support Tech is a member of the Internal Systems Team that provides program leadership of the PC environment for the organization. This includes providing in-person and remote IT support to ARx staff and team members as well as serving as an escalation path for IT Support Technicians. Support includes a range of disciplines but will focus primarily on Windows PC Support; additional support areas may include telephony, iOS support, and application support. Position will also have the opportunity to assist with new technology evaluations that support the User Experience.</p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>Essential Functions and responsibilities:</strong></p> <p> Provide program leadership on desktop, workstation and laptop (Windows and Mac) engineering, and troubleshooting. </p> <p> Responsible for PC Imaging, inventory, and lifecycle support; including updates and patches for a separated organization</p> <p> Serves as an escalation path for IT Support Technicians for PC related issues and challenges</p> <p> Installation and troubleshooting of printers and other peripherals as required. </p> <p> Provide instruction to our user community on computer use and productivity applications. </p> <p> Consulting with end users for instructing and gathering information on user requirements for software and hardware </p> <p> Proposes and implements system enhancements that will improve reliability and PC performance</p> <p> Other electronic devices as required.</p> <p><strong>Basic Qualifications:</strong></p> <p> Outstanding customer service skills and commitment to end user experience. </p> <p> Desktop support experience with the Windows Operating Systems (Windows 10) and Macintosh. </p> <p> Experience in investigating and troubleshooting hardware and software problems.</p> <p> Demonstrated knowledge with Microsoft Office 365 including admin portal.</p> <p> Demonstrated experience with workstation configuration. </p> <p> Demonstrated ability to document configurations, processes, and policies </p> <p> Ability to participate on on-call rotation</p> <p> Mindfulness of security disciplines and best practice. </p> <p><strong>Desired Skills:</strong></p> <p> Exposure to IT Asset Management controls. </p> <p> Ability to work with difference personality types. A positive and can do attitude will be critical.</p> <p> Experience with JIRA, SharePoint, and Salesforce is a large plus</p> <p> Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.</p> <p> Demonstrated effective teaming skills; aptitude for learning new technologies</p> <p> Experience with moderately sophisticated automated Desktop Imaging tools required. We currently use MDT, but the candidate does not need to have experience with this tool.</p> <p> Experience in a fast paced 24x7x365 SAAS environment is desirable. </p> <p><strong>Education and/or Experience:</strong></p> <p>Bachelor’s degree (B. S.) from four-year College or university with 2 years of related experience, or, High School Diploma with 5 years of related experience.
