Desktop Support Analyst I is responsible for providing first level support to users of various desktop applications such as Microsoft. Ability to multi-task and support high level of trouble shooting user issues via telephone and remote applications.

Position Summary
Provide technical support on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment.
Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software and systems failures, using established procedures.
Basic technical understanding of Wi Fi networks, switches and routers.
Perform remote, on-site or in-house servicing and/or repair of company products/services.

Available to work a flexible schedule (including days, nights, weekends and holidays).

The incumbent provides advanced technical support to operators and other support personnel working in the SMDC, corporate customers and end users for complex security and video products. Role Responsibility: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS * Provide support to corporate customers and end users remotely via the telephone. * Act as technical leads and provide training, coaching, and mentoring to SMDC Operators. * Document technical features and fixes in the SMDC's incident tracking software. * Install software/hardware, identify and resolve most PC related problems, and utilize various tools to assist in problem resolution. * Administer and troubleshoot a LAN/WAN – TCP/IP environment using Windows 2000, XP, and 2003. In addition must have the following skills: * Knowledge of Windows Vista, XP, and 2003 Server, GPOs, Internet Explorer, Net Framework, RegistryKernel level tweaks, and similar platform technologies * Knowledge of Network Technologies (i.e. TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, etc.) * Experience with RAID systems * Basic MSSQL or equivalent database administration * Experienced in TCP/IP and routing protocols, internet technologies related to network infrastructure, routers, switches, routing, and routed protocols. * Knowledge and understanding and hands-on experiences with HP Procurve, and Cisco Switches. * Familiarity with electronic security hardware and software including CCTV and Access Control preferred. * Experience with IP video or VOIP preferred * A+, CCNA, MCSA or MCSE certification preferred LANGUAGE SKILLS Communicates effectively in both oral and written English technical language, both in interpreting requirements and providing reports. Should possess good customer service abilities along with refined grammar skills. The position may require a lot of interaction with other departments and field employees and outside calls are frequently fielded and must be handled in a professional manner. REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. On occasion the ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
