Primary Duties
Answer general user inquiries regarding account administration, distribution of software, system and network status, and other general questions
Provide courteous, friendly, and professional technical assistance in all interactions in person, via phone, and electronically
Delivers, tags, sets up, and assists in the configuration of end-user PC desktop hardware, software and peripherals
Consult with users to determine hardware and software functional specifications
Test and/or modify user systems based on and related to user or corporate specifications
Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
Troubleshoots laptop/PC hardware and related components
Troubleshoots application software (Windows OS, MS Office, etc.) and other third-party software
Performs malware and antivirus support to all users
Diagnoses and resolves end-user network or local printer problems
Coordinates timely repair of laptop/PC computer equipment covered by third-party vendor maintenance agreements
Performs desktop hardware repair for laptop/PC computer equipment and peripherals that are not covered by third-party vendor maintenance agreements
Research questions and issues using available information resources
Advise users on appropriate usage of hardware and software
Provide accurate and timely logging of problems and resolution for problems in internal ticketing system
Prepare activity reports as requested by management
Stays current with changing technology systems, changes and updates
Uses advanced troubleshooting skills
Utilizes superior customer service skills
Shows initiative and acts independently to resolve problems
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on projects to completion
Knowledge Required
Functional knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, 7 Desktop OS.
Functional knowledge of fundamental operations of all relevant software, hardware and other equipment
Knowledge of all major cellular phone operating systems (iPhone, Android, iOS, Windows Mobile, etc.)
Knowledge of Windows Server user management using Active Directory
Knowledge of LAN/WAN network connectivity, troubleshooting and diagnosis, and principles of network systems and management, Internet technologies and products
Basic knowledge and understanding of electrical safety procedures
Education & Work Experience
Associate's degree in a computer related field or minimum of two years of working experience that is sufficient to successfully perform job duties
Experience using ticket tracking software
Comptia Net+ and Sec+ certification
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a computer related field (Preferred)
Experience supporting technology in a manufacturing environment (Preferred)
