WS Packaging Group is seeking a Desktop Analyst. The Desktop Analyst will provide technical support to the Information Technology (IT) department and their customers in the installation, modification and maintenance of WS Packaging's personal computers. Including but not limited to support for all PC, MAC, Canon multifunction units, HP printers, and Datamax printers. Lead, assist, or be a member of IT projects as assigned which could include; Active directory, Vision, MAC, and Mobility administration.
Role and Responsibilities:
Perform installations, modifications and repairs on PC's and related software and hardware.
Complete documentation related to current systems and procedures. Ensure that all incidents are correctly entered into service desk tracking system. Respond to user questions and problems by telephone, e-mail or in person and provide training and support as needed. Desktop Support:
Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot the following areas:
WSPG approved desktop/laptop software
All WSPG approved printers
Shop floor equipment
Perform on-site moves of equipment based on requests. Provide on-site as well as phone support based on business requests
Monitor the assignment of and maintain an inventory of all equipment, hardware, software and supplies including but not limited to software programs, internal and external hard drives, printers, plotters and scanners.
Provide technical support within the IT function including but not limited to running diagnostics on computer hardware, and assist and monitor nightly systems back-ups. May perform minor programming and/or assist with network related maintenance.
Assist in PC management and administration.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related discipline required. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
Requires at least three to five years' experience in a similar position. Strong problem solving and
customer service skills necessary. Advanced computer, verbal/writing communication, problem solving, and decision making skills are a must. Solid working knowledge of PC based computer hardware and software required; experience in a network environment strongly preferred. Functional knowledge of Server based computer hardware and software require.
Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision/direction.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks/responsibilities
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and people skills
Ability to facilitate and collaborate in stressful situations with changing priorities.

Works in an office environment. May, on a continuous basis, sit at desk for a long period of time; frequently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Some walking and lifting up to 50 lbs. may be required. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed. Occasional local travel may be required.
