Catholic Health Services of Long Island (CHS) is an integrated health care delivery system with some of the region's finest health and human services agencies. Desktop Analysts have face to face contact with the user community. Desktop Analysts are responsible for responding to problems/requests about business applications and IT related hardware from Catholic Health Services employees. The Desktop Analyst will gather all necessary information to resolve the user's problem and utilize their skill sand experience to resolve the issue. The Desktop Analyst will also answer "how to" questions and solve problems. Desktop Analysts are knowledgeable in IT equipment builds and rollouts, software maintenance and installations. They provide support of remote locations. Desktop Analysts must have the ability to lift and move heavy computer equipment. They are responsible for carrying pager and participating in on-call duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to and consistently applies CHS Services' policies, procedures and benefits to all customers and/or employees by effectively working with all customers and CHS personnel without discrimination.

  • Provides excellent customer service by ensuring that support services are delivered within Service Level Agreements to meet customer business needs and expectations.

  • Works with Catholic Health Service employees to collect information pertaining to requests / problems.

  • Receives tickets from HEAT. Performs analysis of user requests / problems to resolve issues.

  • Documents all troubleshooting efforts on problem tickets.

  • Contributes to team knowledge base.

  • Analyst will be logged into HEAT and pick up/work on tickets as they are assigned.

  • Resolve tickets as capable and escalate to other teams as necessary.

  • Maintains knowledge of Desktop Support procedures, business area processes, and applications.

  • Seeks to improve knowledge, skills and performance and is receptive to developmental feedback.

  • Works independently and maintains a high degree of professional conduct at all times.

Requirements:

  • Computer related courses at a certified career center. Degree in Information Systems/Computer Science desired.

  • Advanced troubleshooting skills.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft OS and Office Automation products.

  • Team player with the ability to multi-task.

  • Basic understanding of networking essentials.

  • Working knowledge of popular Microsoft applications as well as IBM compatible desktop computers.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written skills.

  • Ability to work well with others.

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 60 pounds.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable car.

  • Must be willing to travel to all CHS facilities.

  • Minimum three (3) years desktop support experience.

Position Description: In this position you will develop a thorough understanding of the call center planning/staffing strategies, call center metrics and performance reporting. The WFM team supports the call center by forecasting volume based on historical trends and appropriately staffing agents to handle that volume. Reacting to real time monitoring of call center agent performance and call center performance against goals are key responsibilities. You will also support other Customer Service back office organizations with scheduling and absence management. This position has a career path which provides for promotional opportunities within and across grades as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. This is a multi-level growth series position, the title, grade level and incentive target assigned to the successful candidate will be determined by assessing skills and related experience, learned through the interview process. Duties include (but not limited to): * Monitor customer contact volumes, manage day-to-day staffing schedules and advise management on long-term coverage trends to help ensure that Service Levels are met. * Analyze call center volume, productivity, and patterns to optimize staffing levels. * Forecast manpower requirements to achieve emergency and non-emergency service level goals. * Advise management of the efficiency and effectiveness of the call center systems. * Manage intraday, daily, short term and long term manpower exceptions. * Monitor call response rates and make schedule or system adjustments as needed. * Understand the technical and business solutions: optimized schedules, forecasts and other tools and can present them to management. * Create, monitor reports and verify accuracy of related analysis. * Respond to requests for data and reports from internal and external groups. * Coordinate communication of system changes, best practices, and future plans. * Collect, summarize and analyze various reports and performance measures. * Reconcile data transfer between systems. * Provide timely feedback to determine effectiveness of implemented solutions and take corrective action as required. * Maintain and apply working knowledge of PSEG Long Island Standards for Business Controls and meet management's expectations for effective internal business controls. Education and Qualifications (required): * BA/ BS degree preferably in a business related field plus 1-2 years of Call Center Operations or associate degree plus 2-3 years of experience in Call Center Operations or 7+years of Call Center Operations experience. * Strong interpersonal skills to support client relationship building and collaboration. * Excellent computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word. * Candidate must possess analytical, planning, organizational skills and be detailed oriented. * Must have a sense of teamwork and initiative. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Results oriented. * This position requires driving to company locations and off-site assignments and events, applicants must possess a valid driver's license with a safe and satisfactory driver history. Desired: * Experience with Call Center Workforce Management systems. * Experience in Database Management or Microsoft Access. * Knowledge of existing PSEGLI Call Center Applications. * Knowledge of JD Power Customer Perception Survey and Process. * Experience with CISCO telephony systems. * Experience with NICE call recording systems. * Experience in Utility Call Center Environment. * Working knowledge of SQL. * Working knowledge of Tableau.
