Designer/Drafter - Autocad And Revit

Are you interested in working on a team that is designing low voltage systems for the most iconic stadiums and arenas in North America? Do you enjoy working on challenging structures that require coordination inside of detailed building models? AmpThink is looking for a drafter/designer to collaborate with our engineering team on the design and construction of sports facilities throughout North America. Recent projects include SoFi Stadium (Rams/Chargers), Allegiant Stadium (Raiders), Lower.com Stadium (Columbus Crew), and Centene Stadium (St. Louis City Soccer).

Our work environment offers room to grow and learn new tools that build on your drafting skills. There will be opportunities to learn tools that include Ekahau (wireless network design), Inventor (product design), PCDMIS (3D laser capture) and Fusion360 (computer aided manufacturing).

The successful candidate must be able to:

• Draw scaled plans for buildings, structures, and components based on preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data.

• Prepare complete and concise design and construction drawings including checking and coordinating details and dimensions.
• Assist with checking submittals and responding to requests for information.

• Lay out and plan low voltage technology components in commercial buildings in both AutoCAD and Revit.
• Collaborate with and take direction from other team members including project managers and engineers.
• Meet demanding timelines while maintaining accuracy.
• Communicate with engineers and field personnel to render design concepts and identify and resolve drawing conflicts.
• Attend to drafting tasks with attention to detail.
• Travel from office to jobsites (and jobsite to jobsite) as needed.
• Give and receive constructive criticism from field and office personnel.

Duties include:

• REVIT/3D modeling of low voltage components based on submittal data.
• Electrical Coordination with other trades (MEP).
• QA/QC of technology drawings and models to ensure accuracy.
• Creating low voltage drawings within required timelines.
• Proper file management (following Standards).
• Managing Xrefs (from various sources).

Requirements

• Expert level skills drafting in current versions of Revit and AutoCAD.
• Demonstrated experience working in 3D models.
• Experience with coordination tools such as Navisworks, Revizto, and BIM 360.
• Working knowledge of construction techniques and related coordinating details and dimension.
