POSITION SUMMARY

Our internal agency is seeking a Designer to join our studio team, reporting directly to the Design Director. You will be a fundamental part of our team, contributing to design projects across all dimensions of the The Cigna Group and our two go-to-market brands Cigna Healthcare and Evernorth Health Services (D2C, B2B, B2B2C). To do this, you'll need to be a conceptual thinker who brings ideas to life through smart design and a high standard for your craft. All of this with a goal of delivering meaningful brand experiences for our customers, clients and partners.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Partner with Design Director, Copywriters and other members of the agency team to bring insight-driven creative concepts to life with unexpected and thought-provoking design solutions

  • Apply your expertise in design thinking/principles/typography and cross-channel creative execution to a wide range of assignments such as user interface design, digital display, video, email, direct mail, print collateral, presentation narratives and identity development

  • Demonstrate a curiosity to stay on top of emerging trends, while keeping the pulse of design industry shifts and best practice

  • Confidently articulate creative ideas within internal creative reviews and brainstorms

  • Quickly become an expert with regard to The Cigna Group, Cigna Healthcare and Evernorth Health Services robust offering of products and solutions

  • Act as a steward for our family of brands, responsible for maintaining consistency of visual identity across all experiences

  • Partner with account management and producer teams to ensure creative is on brief, on time and on budget

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in advertising or design (BFA in graphic design preferred)

  • 5 years of experience in an advertising agency, design studio or highly strategic in-house agency

  • A world-class portfolio that demonstrates conceptual design work with flawless execution across all channels (must include examples of digital, social, print, motion and identity work)

  • Solid foundation in user-centered design and experience in creating user interface designs for responsive websites and mobile applications that meet strict accessibility standards

  • An impeccable visual aesthetic paired with a firm understanding of the fundamentals of design (layout, hierarchy, typography, color and image selection)

  • An enviable (almost to the point of being annoying) level of attention to detail when creating design assets

  • An aptitude for earning trust and developing meaningful relationships

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, Powerpoint and Microsoft Word

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working effectively in cross-functional teams.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and analytically and to distill complex ideas into simplified, tangible ideas

  • Experience with user research and decision-making.

  • A positive attitude with a "get-stuff-done" mindset

  • Ability to work from a Cigna office 50% of the time

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 58,700 - 97,900 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
