The Resident Assistant performs all the duties of assisting with activities if daily living in accordance with the Company&rsquo;s established procedures and as may be directed by the Executive Director, Wellness Director, Wellness Coordinator, Wellness Nurse, and Pharmacy Consultant and/or Medical Consultant.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong> include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</p><ol><li>Keeps current on federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the protection of the rights of the resident. Preserving the safety, the dignity and self-respect of all residents at all times; practices confidentiality.</li><li>Assists residents with access to and participation in their recreational and social activities as needed. Will ensure that a minimum of one Resident Assistant remains with residents during all programming sessions.</li><li>Willing to help out in any emergency and provide a variety of support services in all departments as needed throughout the community.</li><li>State &amp; Community Specific: Medication Management (including all job duties of Medication Tech).</li><li>State Specific: Records all medical and/or care entries on care records, notes, daily assessments and task sheets, etc. in an informative and descriptive manner.</li><li>Assists any resident that requires assistance with any Activities of Daily Living (ADL) per their service plan and as needed.</li><li>Determines resident&#39;s problems, change in condition, and needs and addresses or refers them to appropriate personnel for assistance.</li><li>Promptly answers call signals; carries required pagers, scout phones, etc. as required; practices conservation of equipment, keeping them clean and ready to use.</li><li>Maintains clear communication with other Resident Assistants and Licensed Nurses via shift to shift reports to make sure set-up procedures and delivery of care is working smoothly.</li><li>Performs housekeeping and laundry duties as scheduled and as needed and practices conservation of equipment and supplies, keeping them clean and ready to use.</li></ol><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>COMPANY WIDE RESPONSIBILITIES </strong></p><p>Supports a dignified and caring atmosphere with residents, residents&#39; families, visitors and team members.</p><p>Protects privacy and confidentiality of information pertaining to the resident, team member, residence, company information and records.</p><p>Maintains a safe and secure working environment and practices safe working habits.</p><p>Complies with the attendance policy.</p><p>Complies with the cell phone and social media policies.</p><p>Maintains neat appearance, good personal hygiene and appropriate attire per company dress code.</p><p>Participates in training, in services and attends meetings when required.</p><p>Assists with special projects as assigned and performs other related duties.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS </strong></p><p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
