Konik is partnering with an environmental services client that is looking to add a Designer to their team. This position will be responsible for transforming project specifications, customer requirements, and conceptual ideas into precise and functional engineering drawings.
Designer Responsibilities
- Analyze sales proposals, cost estimates, customer specifications, and technical documentation to determine design requirements.
- Develop engineering drawings with oversight, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Work with project teams to evaluate customer needs related to equipment sizing, process design, and functionality, ensuring accurate representation in drawings.
- Create General Arrangement Drawings (GADs) to illustrate critical design components for project teams and clients.
- Develop detailed fabrication, assembly, and installation drawings for use by internal manufacturing teams and external contractors.
- Verify that manufactured equipment aligns with project requirements and adheres to standard design guidelines.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of standard product designs to enhance efficiency and consistency.
- Serve as a technical resource, providing design-related support to internal teams and external partners as needed.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and software advancements to enhance design capabilities.
Designer Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in industrial equipment or water treatment system design, including skid-mounted systems, piping layouts, and plant design.
- Associate degree in a technical discipline (mechanical design, drafting, or related field preferred).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit with 3+ years of hands-on experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in engineering documentation.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and explain technical concepts effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
