  • You have a minimum of 4-7 years' experience designing traditional and digital media.

  • You are more than proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.

The ideal candidate will be based out of either our Chicago or Milwaukee office. We operate in a hybrid and flexible model with plenty of work from home opportunity.

The ideal candidate will possess a team oriented attitude; have a multidiscipline background, and a passion for innovation.</p><p>If you like to see your own ideas come to life, apply quickly!</p><p>SUMMARY</p><p>The Product Designer works directly with Product Engineers to create and modify CAD part models and assemblies as part of the product design process. Additionally, they will create and modify production drawings per SSC standards and customer requirements. The Product Designer will help conceptualize and develop creative solutions for a wide range of new product opportunities, while maintaining a focus on Design For Manufacturability (DFM).</p><p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p><ul><li><p>Conceptualize and develop design solutions by creating and modifying CAD models and assemblies independently and with direction from Product Engineer</p></li><li><p>Create and modify production drawings, with GD&amp;T, per SSC standards and customer requirements</p></li><li><p>Apply principles of Designing For Manufacturability relative to various production process (Die casting, injection molding, progressive stamping, sheet metal fabrication, etc.)</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with Product Engineer, Tooling Engineering and outside vendors, during the part design process, to ensure design manufacturability and optimization</p></li><li><p>Work with Product Engineer and CAE Team in design analysis</p></li><li><p>Participate in and help facilitate product design review meetings</p></li><li><p>Participate in problem solving and continuous improvement efforts</p></li><li><p>Participate in DFMEA activities</p></li><li><p>Proactively offer potential design solutions</p></li><li><p>Assist in procurement of prototypes with direction from Product Engineer</p></li><li><p>Perform tolerance stack-ups as required</p></li><li><p>Other duties may be assigned</p></li></ul><p>Qualifications</p><p>QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties satisfactorily.
