Job Title: Designer

Job Description

This designer will be responsible for completing 3D design layouts and concepts in SolidWorks for underwater well connections for Subsea Pipelines. The role involves creating and editing bill of materials, writing technical documentation, checking engineering drawings, and redlining as needed. The designer will transform initial rough product designs into working drawings using SolidWorks and review engineering drawings to ensure they meet customer specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Complete 3D design layouts and concepts in SolidWorks for underwater well connections for Subsea Pipelines.
  • Create and edit bill of materials.
  • Write technical documentation.
  • Check and review engineering drawings and redline as needed.
  • Transform initial rough product designs into working drawings using SolidWorks.
  • Ensure engineering drawings meet customer specifications.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks with a minimum of 5 years of experience and current usage.
  • 5+ years of experience in Mechanical Design, preferably on connectors or subsea equipment.
  • Knowledge of the Subsea Oil & Gas industry.
  • Mechanical drafting and design experience.
  • Experience with AutoCAD.
  • Understanding of bill of materials (BOM) and design layout.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Mathematical skills including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
  • Good technical writing skills.
  • Working knowledge of computers and software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of measurement computations.

Work Environment

The role is primarily on-site, working behind a desk. Occasionally, there may be a need to visit the shop for redline corrections. The company offers a unique environment where engineering and manufacturing are performed in-house, allowing designers to see their drawings come to life. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
