Job Description:

The Water Division of Arcadis is currently searching for an experienced CADD Drafter with a minimum of 8 years of experience with Heavy Civil & Structural Engineering projects in our Baton Rouge LA or Houston TX. Projects may include work on design and drafting on levees, floodwalls, flood gates, water and sewer infrastructural, pump stations, water & wastewater treatment plants, roadways, and bridges, as well as associated construction documentation.

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting Engineers develop designs and construction documents.

  • Duties will include preparing sketches, design models, and plan sets. Familiarity with the CAD standards of either of the following agencies is desirable: United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), State Department of Transportation (Louisiana and/or Texas)

  • Candidate must have proficiency with Microstation V8i Edition and AutoCAD with good command in Autodesk Civil 3D and Autodesk Revit.

  • Candidate must be capable of following a quality control focused workflow (e.g. color-coded markups and highlighting, taking ownership of documents worked on, understanding the design in order to participate in it development).

  • Other duties will include working with other disciplines to coordinate designs and plan sets, maintaining an orderly drawing file system, and maintaining office cad standards (e.g. symbology, cells, and Civil 3D & Revit styles and preferences).

  • Position is assigned to the Baton Rouge office; however, on occasion the candidate may be required to travel to other offices to meet with and coordinate with staff on work assignments.

  • Candidate must be willing to learn new skills and progress in responsibility.

  • Candidate must possess good communication and team work skills.

Required Qualifications

  • 8 years of Civil Design & Drafting experience .

  • High School Diploma.

  • Proficiency with Microstation V8i Edition, AutoCAD experience.

  • Proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D.

  • Profiency with

Autodesk Revit.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with working in Bentley ProjectWise and Autodesk BIM360 collaboration site.

  • Setting up and working experience with Microsoft SharePoint.
