Location: Seattle, WA (Relocation is offered)
Salary: $70K - $95K

Requirements: 3+ years as a Design Quality Engineer and must come from highly regulated FDA organization. Must have electro-mechanical experience.

Your focuses will be verifying and approving the quality of work performed by the team and helping to manage the day-to-day needs for resourcing and budget optimization.</p><p>You will be an integral part of the team across our builds and support projects and will own the responsibilities of quality and managing resourcing for optimized internal processes and client-facing products.</p><p><strong>QA Engineer Responsibilities</strong></p><p>You will be responsible for the design and implementation of tests, for debugging, and for defining the corrective actions needed for tasks and overall website quality. You will also review system, visual design, and browser requirements, tracking quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts) and verifying when the completed work is of the quality standards expected.</p><ul> <li>Own the creation and execution of detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases for development tasks as well as for visual design testing.</li> <li>Create documentation of existing site user workflows and functionality to be used against repeatable testing needs for iterative enhancements being integrated into websites.</li> <li>Take responsibility for the quality of all work produced in requested browsers and devices.</li> <li>Utilize clear communication, both with respect to documentation and when directing the team, in order for tasks to pass testing criteria.</li> <li>Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.</li> <li>Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing.</li> <li>Monitor debugging process results.</li> <li>Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies, making recommendations on process enhancements.</li> <li>Advise on process enhancements to improve efficiency within Quality Assurance processes.</li> </ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Resource Coordinator Responsibilities</strong></p><p>You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day resourcing, with support from Project Managers, to ensure timelines are met, budgets are monitored and reported upon, and the team has a balanced workload. Additionally, you will support the Sales team by delivering achievable timeline ranges for incoming sales proposals.</p><ul> <li>Manage the day-to-day needs of resource and forecasting management.</li> <li>Use a suite of tools to ensure resources are achieving their desired billability, and report on billability to the senior management team weekly.</li> <li>Support project managers weekly with an iterative process consisting of inputting and adjusting hours on tickets to deliver balanced resourcing for the team.</li> <li>Support project managers by managing and adjusting timeline milestones based on project needs.</li> <li>Support sales forecasting<ul> <li>Informing timelines delivered in sales proposals by inserting hours and timelines for projects with a high percentage of closure.</li> <li>Adjusting timelines as needed based upon on the close of sales.</li> <li>Informing the senior management team of timeline adjustment needs and hiring needs via weekly budget reports.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Review hours against tasks daily, comparing hours resources to ensure overages are not incurred.</li> <li>Communicate frequently with project managers and team members to ensure project budgets are on track.</li> <li>Advise on process enhancements to improve efficiency within resourcing processes.</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>Proven experience as a QA tester or similar role.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.</li> <li>Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans, test cases, detailed and broader communications.</li> <li>Ability to document and troubleshoot errors.</li> <li>Working knowledge of test management software (e.g. qTest, Zephyr).</li> <li>Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.</li> <li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.</li> <li>Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Strong self-starter mentality, with an ability to self-manage time.</li> <li>Attention to detail.</li> <li>Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude.</li> <li>Strong organizational skills.</li> <li>Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.</li> <li>Ability to understand and execute resourcing and timeline needs, based upon directives from project managers.</li> <li>Ability to report on budgets and monitor budgets iteratively throughout the week.</li> </ul><p></p><p><strong>Plusses</strong></p><ul> <li>Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing.</li> <li>Experience with performance and/or security testing.</li> <li>Experience with WCAG 2.0 accessibility testings.</li> <li>BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.</li> <li>Use of Teamwork.</li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p><strong>Fully Remote:</strong> Work where and when you do your best.
