Program Managers at Root are great communicators and masterminds of organization. They understand the needs of a fast-paced creative environment within a product company. As a Program Manager, your primary objective is to facilitate the delivery of great work as efficiently and effectively as possible. You will be responsible for coordinating the efforts of internal teams to ensure all tasks and deliverables are completed on time and within budget while meeting high-quality standards. You'll be tasked with implementing just the right amount of process for your teams. With a strong appreciation for the practice and process of design, brand, and content, you understand the multiple disciplines that go into a successful campaign, experience, and product.

You will report to the Program Management Director


  • Provide strategic input on the scope, resourcing, and sequencing of work, across assigned Studio

  • Serve as a source of organized information for a number of simultaneous initiatives

  • Provide up-to-date visibility into current projects and studio resource utilization

  • Develop, implement, and manage project plans; create detailed work breakdowns, establish deadlines, and communicate key milestones

  • Serve as a liaison ensuring pertinent information is communicated, documented and understood by executional teams, stakeholders, and leadership

  • Facilitate strategic stakeholder meetings, including preparing agendas, keeping conversations on-track, and establishing action items and owners

  • Identify and predict obstacles, collisions, and risks to projects and seek solutions to eliminate them. Escalate issues when appropriate

  • Cultivate, negotiate, and manage relationships with external contractors and agencies, including managing contract execution and financial reporting


  • 3+ years Project Management, Product Management, Brand Management or relevant experience in a cross-functional (marketing, design, and engineer) product-driven organization or digital agency

  • Track record of managing impactful initiatives in a large digital product organization

  • Background supporting teams, and developing relationships

  • Demonstrable skills and experience in mediation, negotiation, presentation, and conflict resolution

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience interacting with senior leadership

  • A high-level of attention to detail with excellent organizational skills

  • Competence with Asana, Trello or equivalent. Must be able to manage a ticket queue

  • Passion and enthusiasm for excellence and attention to detail

  • Comfort with ambiguity in a fluid organization

  • A desire to seek out opportunities for self-development and continuing education

  • Drive to go above and beyond prescribed duties as and when required

These milestones are standardized nationally across all lines of business. The A2L Program also provides a combination of trainings, structured account experiences, and on-the-job learning. You'll spend approximately 15% of your time committed to training and structured program activities, with the rest of your time focused on: * On the job training in a leadership or individual contributor position (dependent upon career track) * Key milestone experiences specific to the career track that are standardized across all lines of business * Structured career path towards a targeted leadership role post program * Career readiness training & coaching * Direct engagement with peers, mentors & managers * Professional network & personal brand development Responsibilities: Direct Service and Delivery Career Track: The positions within this career track mainly fall within the Uniform Services lines of business. An A2L in this track will be the communication liaison between Operations, Production, Service, and Sales to drive results and ensure proper policies and procedures are being followed to maintain compliance. Typical responsibilities include performing daily route check-ins, providing feedback to management team on overall performance, execution, and customer service skills of operations front line associates, periodically filling in on routes to cover for sick days, vacation, etc, and performing other duties as required or assigned by management. The A2L in this career track must also prioritize safety, cost control, and growth. A valid driver's license is required for these positions. Qualifications: Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree required. (Must graduate between December 2017 – August 2019 to be eligible for the FY19 A2L Program). Start dates are in February and July 2019. All degree requirements must be completed prior to the start date of the program (including any final internship requirements). * Strong organizational and time management skills required. * Leadership skills, inclusive of supervisory responsibilities, team lead in a club/organization, and/or project management. * The ability to communicate in an appropriate, clear, and concise manner with customers, clients, employees and leadership. * The ability to manage through change and ambiguity in a fast pace environment. * Cost control, budget responsibilities or inventory management experience desired. * Ability to work flexible hours, which may include nights, weekends or holidays according to business need. * Ability / openness to relocation according to program / business need. * Valid driver's license preferred. * Experience with and knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications. * Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by Aramark for this position now or in the future.
