My client Facebook is looking to hire a Design Program Coordinator for his Business Design team at Menlo Park, CA.
Job Title: Design Program Coordinator
Location:
Menlo Park, CA
Duration: Long Term Contract. 12+ Months with possible extension
Start Date: ASAP
Specifically it would be a Project Coordinator that would work closely with Local Design PMs on large, time-boxed initiatives such as All-Hands, Summits, and design sprints.
This work greatly impacts cross-team collaboration, team operations, and team health.
The ideal candidate is highly organized with experience managing purchasing requests, meeting deadlines, establishing timelines, anticipating project issues and resolving them. This role requires excellent communication skills, an ability to multi-task and juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
A highly organized approach and consistent delivery is mandatory. You'll work within our Design Program Manager team and will support the team on ad hoc projects as needed.
In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has:
Support the operations of the design team's onboarding program including tracking new starts, ensuring clear communication of our process with owners, and flawlessly executing on our onboarding checklist.
Manage contract and PO requests and processes, tracking open contracts, work with external vendors, process SOWs, POs, and resolve issues and answer questions about the purchasing process.
Assisting coordination of event planning
Coordinate some operational foundations for on-boarding like sending welcome emails, scheduling a light on-boarding session, and tracking this across a large design team
Team communication & knowledge sharing update and maintain team wiki documentation, group communication, notes and next steps sharing.
Additional Design Program Manager support work with DPMs on ad hoc projects as needed.

Skills:
Excellent communication and organization skills, with the ability to multi-task and juggle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment;
Positive attitude and dependably delivers on requests
2+ years experience working in a similar capacity required;
Track record of being detail-oriented, willing to wear multiple hats, identifying areas for improvement/support and delivering results in a highly organized manner;
Education:
Bachelors degree required.

The DPM role requires broad knowledge of design and development processes, excellent communication skills, and project management expertise. This is a full-time position based in our Menlo Park office. RESPONSIBILITIES * Establish, launch and execute and continue to drive and improve all aspects of our Quality program including Peer Evaluations and UX Evaluations Create a framework that will train and calibrate product design evaluators to ensure consistent and repeatable evaluations Move initiatives forward that have multiple stakeholders including design and product leadership Drive clarity around ownership, objectives and next steps Track and communicate outcomes over time for comparison, improvements and/or trends Own and facilitate review meetings with product leadership about evolving the program and communicating impact Work with Engineers, Researchers, Product Managers and Design to share feedback coming out of reviews with clear expectations Serve as a dependable point of contact/link to Product Quality Programs for cross-functional teams across global offices MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * 5+ years of experience as a producer, product manager, project manager or program manager with experience establishing systems, supporting teams, and developing relationships Experience with establishing and executing programs that span across disciplines Experience working with product designers/UX as well as cross-functional teams Track record of operating independently and delivering results in an organized manner Experience in independent time management, task prioritization, identifying problems and working towards solutions Facebook Menlo Park CA
