We're currently looking for an Design Professional to join our growing team in Modesto. This is the perfect opportunity for someone with a year or two of practice in a design firm, looking to gain valuable experience in a multidisciplinary firm. You'll work with experienced architects and project managers, and providing drafting support on a variety of education and public sector projects.

The successful Design Professional must be able to adhere to the Firm's high standards of quality and performance; collaborate with team members across disciplines; follow instructions thoroughly; and grasp concepts with a high attention to detail.

Minimum requirements for this position include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction or a related field;

  • Two to four years of experience in a professional architecture environment in California or working on projects that have California Building Code requirements;

  • Experience using REVIT including preparing construction documents and 3D modeling;

  • NCARB registration and in pursuit of California Architect license, including the progression of reported AXP (IDP) hours and Architectural Record Exams (ARE); and

Compensation is based on experience. VIEW JOBS 11/9/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-07T00:00 TETER Architects + Engineers is looking for a Job Captain to join our Modesto Office and manage the day-to-day operations of multiple projects, collaborating with multiple disciplines in order to provide design solutions of the highest quality. Working under the direction of an experienced project manager, the Job Captain, assists with overall project management including: * Preparing budgets and schedules, as well as monitoring adherence to the work plan * Writing specifications, change orders, RFI responses and professional correspondence * Preparing proposals and participating in interviews in order to earn new business * Developing project documents during all phases of the project * Preparing complex plans, elevations and details as directed An architectural problem solver, the Job Captain's design and technical skills include REVIT and/or AutoCAD production; an understanding of the basic construction systems of walls, roofs, doors and windows; knowledge of building code concepts and applying to project design; and experience supporting the construction administration phase of a project. The successful Job Captain is a manager of clients, consultants and project staff, always communicating effectively and in a timely manner. He/she is a superb delegator who supervises assignments efficiently, provides consistent support and direction, and isn't averse to diving into the nitty gritty details of a project when needed. The Job Captain is also an effective manager of his/her own time, setting goals, prioritizing, estimating hours and completing tasks on time. The Job Captain is self-motivated, committed to growing him/herself and the firm, and is in pursuit of a California Architect license. Lastly, the Job Captain has sound judgment, includes the appropriate people in the decision-making process and is able to provide reasoning/support for his/her decisions. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction, or related field * NCARB and CAB registration and progression of reported AXP (IDP) hours * Five to seven years of architecture and project management experience COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Compensation based on experience.
