Volt is hiring a Switchboard Design Engineer in Denton, TX with an industry leader in their field. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of switchboards used in various electrical systems.
You will work closely with our engineering team to ensure the quality and functionality of designs that meet both client and industry standards. As a Switchboard Design Engineer, you will be responsible for: Design and develop electrical switchboards, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Produce detailed drawings, schematics, and technical specifications for switchboard systems. Perform system analysis, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure the reliability and efficiency of switchboard designs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of switchboard systems into larger projects.
Maintain strong communication with clients and internal stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions. Prepare documentation and reports to support design, testing, and project requirements. Continuously stay up-to-date with industry trends and technological advancements related to switchboard design.
The Ideal Candidate will have: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in switchboard design and related electrical engineering work. Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) for creating electrical schematics and designs.
Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time, DIRECT HIRE opportunity. Salary: $145-150K annually Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
